nice hunt! :-) i love using the insect glaive, have you tried using it brave style? i haven't seen people using it that much in brave. goddamn seregios... i've always liked its weapons, but really never liked fighting it. always moving around in an odd way and the bleeding effect is a pain.

I have tried Brave IG, it's pretty good because it is very close to guild style, but it's because of that that it doesn't really mater which style you use since both perform similarly well

yeah true, i saw a brief demonstration on gaijin hunter's channel and it really is similar to guild style. i'm curious though if using a power type kinsect in brave style could make a difference :-) well, crossing my fingers for a western mh xx release in the meantime!

Drones1126 P The original is harder according to many, keep in mind you start with both Diablos and Seregios already Apex, worrying about your wystone consumption, being careful to not let both see you with smoke bombs and stuff.

+AkatsukiKaizoku I do want to mention that times will be longer than 4U because of the fact that you start wit one less monster. Back then, once you kill one of them you can immediately go for the other. In XX, you have to wait for the next monster, but it is easier.

Chrome Renegade Crimson Fatalis IG is pretty much strictly better

at least for IG, crimson have 3 slots, 330 raw, 15 affinity, 55 blast; against Hellblade's 0 slot, 300 raw, 5 affinity, 42 blast. Both have the same amount of purple, Hellblade have more white and blue, but crimson's need sharpness +2 to get purple. If you use Absolute readiness to keep up the purple, crimson's low white and blue are a non-issue.

Jho-cean set with tenderizer 6 double slot with expert 2 gemmed in. White fata set has Honed Blade; mind you S+1 is literally S+1 from Gen, not S+1 from MH4U (which is now S+2) so it's pretty meh on most weapon setups. Lao armor for the most part has Steady Hand and some Crimson Fata armor has it as well, sadly most are rather inflexible in terms of getting in any offensive skills in without god charms. Have yet to run into honed blade/ compound skill charms so can't really vouch if they are indeed a thing or not.

shadowlord mcgill Aerial IG is overrated. No one needs to be jumping forward like an ass in a speed run, or any fight tbh. And having two arts is far better than one for consistency.

CuttingEdges that's were you are wrong. In a speedrun it may not be useful but in a group fight the monster behaves erratically and tends to move all over the place so the aerial IG vault really helps closing in distances so you don't have be chasing the thing around like an idiot. Plus mounting isn't as useless as a lot of try-hards make it to be
