CupcakeCarnival We did last year 💞 it was glorious. We stayed at Marina di Ragusa where some of the series has been filmed and went onto Ragusa itself and dined in Montalbano's favourite restaurant La Rusticana. Perfect. 🌸 loved it so much we're back again this year 😘

The street scenes remind me of a de Chirico painting , always mysterious , threatening but some what beautiful at the same time.

Sadly Andrea Camilleri passed away July 2019. I did not know this until recently. His wife passed the same year. Goodbye to the father of Montalbano and a legend. RIP sir and thankyou for your legacy. His wife was named Rosetta Dello Siesto.. As far as I am aware there was a character called Rosetta in the episode The Mystery of the Terracotta Dog. What an absolutely wonderful couple they must have been. She stayed by his side and dined with him for over 60 years. I feel humbled to even know of this.. I, for one, feel extremely fortunate the decision was made to not only transfer book to screen but in the way it was handled and done.

Una obra maravillosa, desarrollo, actores que encarnan personajes épicos, escenario que impacta por sus paisajes, transmisión de cultura y ambientes muy bien logrados. Emotiva, poética, con escenas de humor, drama, un policial resuelto con inteligencia. Solo tengo elogios y me quedo corto. Una lástima que el paso del tiempo y la desaparición de personas claves nos deje sin la posibilidad de ver nuevas ediciones. Agradezco enormemente el haber brindado la posibilidad de ver una obra de esta magnitud. Andrea Camilieri un genio. Que el lenguaje no sea una barrera para interpretar los regalos que nos da la vida. Sto imparando l'italiano per quando avrò l'opportunità di visitare la Sicilia. Ci vediamo. Grazie a tutti.

I have been a fan for as long as the show is on tv. It is different and familiar at the same time. I love to watch Montalbano, but i am hopelessly in love with Peppino who played Fazio.

Muchas cosas positivas se pueden decir de la serie "Comisario Montalbano". Cada actor desempeña su papel de manera genial. Catarela es un ejemplo. Montalbano es un caballero que no cae fácilmente ante las "tentaciones". La serie no presenta escenas de sexo de manera vulgar ni numerosas. Muestra la cara de una Sicilia hermosa, lejos de la mala fama que se le ha dado. Paisajes hermosos. Saludos desde Panamá.

Me gustan mucho ambas series: El comisario Montalbano y El joven Montalbano. Me gusta todo. La música, las locaciones, los personajes, y acerca de los personajes, me gusta la elección de los actores. Yo me preguntaba porque el inspector Fazio es tan joven siendo que en los libros es mayor que Montalbano. En el caso de la serie da la impresión de ser más joven que todos los policías. Pero de esto hay algo que me gusta. Y es el hecho de que por su juventud lo vimos madurar. Del chico de pelo largo a un Fazio de cabello corto que empieza a tener canas. Eso me gusta. Aterriza la ficción en lo real. En cómo sí transcurre la vida. Por cierto, el único que se casa es el terrible Mimí. Eso también me llama la atención. Quisiera ver El joven Montalbano como veo El comisario Montalbano, pero sólo he podido ver por KZbin 5 capítulos.

Zingaretti IS Montalbano, and the "young Montalbano" was a complete flop. It lacked substance and the central character looked like an unwashed nerd. Viva Zingaretti !! Unfortunately it's difficult to find videos of the Old Montalbano on You Tube.

+PSYLLA2020 hi! if u speak italian RAI 1 has now new episodes. they stream in rai on line but only allowed to be watched in italy....unfortunately when they show them on monday night i m never home to watch them! and since am in germany,i can=t watch the streaming....

I don't agree with that. Riondino is just as good as Montalbano as Zingaretti was. It's just another perspective. A young man can't be the same person he is 20 or 30 years later. Montalbano grows each time he investigates a new crime. Plus, I think "Young Montalbano" give us more of that Sicily Camilleri wrote about, with a stronger dialect that wasn't there when the Montalbano first started in 1999.

@@crazy_Fred I´m agree with you. I love Young Montalbano, but, I only found 5 episodies in KZbin. And i love Montalbano with Zingaretti too. I love all the actors of both series.

Here in the UK we have them programs on catch up. I've been downloading and watching. I love it. I doubt that Young Montalbano is being shown here but I'd like to see it. We have something similar where an older Inspector had a whole series - Morse - and we now have a prequal series called Endevour. At first it was strange to watch this but now it is in it's 8 series and well received.
