Hopefully it will go global. The previous generation never did. This one I think is the best in all aspect. Fits in the hands / Amoled / Efficient and powerful Chipset / 3ple camera setup / EIS / Good Battery life / Latest OS / Supports Fast Charging / USB C So Yeah, if it goes global then Im buying it.

I've had the mi 9 se for 10 days now and I absolutely love it, the size of the flagship phones is getting ridiculous this is as big as phones need to be, feels great in the hand if only it had the same hardware as the mi 9 it would be the best allrounder phone available.

I think the notch was actually updated in software. It now looks more like the teardrop on the Mi 9 or One Plus 6T

Thanks Barbier! I'm glad you like my honest take! I'm just being myself and will always share if I like something or not. As for your question, that's a tough one! I'm honestly thinking Poco still offers more for the price than any phone at this point (still after so many months!) but the Mi 9 SE feels more modern, and if you want to get the Sony IMX586 in a premium feeling but not so pricey phone then it's probably a good choice!

I think mi8 is better in terms of performance, due to the higher chipset (sd845) but the mi8 has a ugly notch which the mi9(se) doesnt. Also i think the mi9se will receive updates longer because its newer. And the camera of the 9 is better i think

Great review. The mi9 is an absolute value in the premium phone category. I'm interested with how the poco phone 2 will slot between the budget note7 and the mi 9. Im guessing the poco phone 2 will come with a snapdragon 845 with a non amoled screen and a lower grade gorilla glass.

Thanks bro, yes it's an incredible value! The Pocophone will definitely have the SD855, anything less would be a disaster. I'm really hoping its the same phone as the Mi 9, but with a plastic back and slightly lesser features (no wireless charging, NFC) but at a price point closer to the Mi 9 SE. That would be an amazing phone!

Yes very similar, although Mi 9 SE is slightly wider and taller, but with a far larger screen size (4.7 vs 6 inch).

EXACTLY! I hope people read your comment because this is how I feel as well. The only negative really is LTE bands support, CDM Widevine and perhaps more limited non Asia language options. It takes 2 minutes to download Google software, and now my unit feels very similar to the Global ROM. Lucky for me as well all LTE bands are supported in Hong Kong with this China version, so really nothing to complain about!

Thanks so much! Yes that should work fine, and installing google play apps is super easy. All in all I don’t miss having a Global version at all, and all the LTE bands used in Hong Kong work perfectly with this China version of the phone!

Thanks and glad you enjoyed! From what I see there is no notification LED which is unfortunate especially considering the Mi 9 has one. That said it now has a great ambient display mode which has multiple customization options.
