Yes both are compatible. Just remember that you cannot get 4K TV channels, it's not possible atleast for 5 years or so

Airtel dth ka recharge nahi karoge to koi apps nahi chalenge, youtube bhi nahi. Old airtel set top box hoga tabhi 2249 ka milega. Han aap VGA to HDMI connector se Airtel Xstream ko monitor se connect kar sakte ho.

Jio cinema is officially supported and can be downloaded from the play store in mi Box. Jio Tv is proprietary to Jio Set top box but you can side load apk, it may work but I tried it and it didn't worked.

Chromecast is an hardware which should there in your TV in built or externally. And chromecast works on wifi so wifi is must. 4k is Tv resolution and it doesn't matter for casting from your phone. So Chromecast device and wifi is mandatory for casting.

Can we use Xstream box as an Android box standalone thereby using it only to acess internet Ott apps without connecting to DTH & without recharging the DTH monthly rental fee? For eg I have both Jiofibre 4K high speed wifi as well as BSNL ftth 100 mbps internet plan connection at home. I already have subscribed Netflix, Prime video , Hotstar Premium & Sonyliv premium account with me having 1 yr duration. Suppose if i install all these apps on my Xstream box along with 3rd party apps outside Playstore like Popcornflix, Pikashow, Thop Tv, live tv etc. Will I be able to acess all these apps via my BSNL/Jiofibre wifi connected to my Xstream box? Or do I need to give minimum DTH monthly rental fee in order for the Ott apps inside the Xstream box to work? I have seen so many Airtel Xstream box reviews by experts on KZbin but none of them has ever given me a clear answer to this question for the last 9 months. 🤷‍♂️ Some are saying the internet function for the Ott apps installed inside the box doesn't work and requires for monthly DTH fees to be paid in order it to work while some are saying the Ott apps inside the Xstream box are working without paying for monthly DTH services. In fact there are some other people who said all you have to do is pay Rs 49 per month and thereby use the apps installed inside the box without any problems provided the user has a high speed fibre internet connection of around 100mbps with at least a minimum of 50 Mbps net connection to watch in HD(1080) quality to avoid buffering issues. Then in regards to watching videos in 4K quality smoothly, the reviewers are saying that an internet speed above 150 mbps is required. I'm so confused now! 🤷‍♂️🤔

Hey I have mi box 4k from last 20 days but facing below issue please help. 1.My vu smart 4k uhd tv without android also connected with internet & mi box also so while playing with mi box I ahould keep internet on box or tv or both. 2.Tv inbuilt app runing too good like you tube 4k videos but mi box you tube & thop TV etc facing buffring issue why it's happening . 3.Some times mi all apps working fine but from few days facing buffring issue. 4.Automatically mi box apps moving up & down & tv also getting on off. 5.Some times showing no internet on wifi but net main page showing connected to wifi. 6.Facing issue to download app like torrdroid etc even from sideload also app not installing in storage. 7.As box storage 8 gb & I pluged pen drive 15gb how I can store new data to usb as everytime reset all data going removed. 8.For smooth set up what I need to do. 9.Google asistant also not working fine as it's always opening you tube video if I will say open in thop tv xyz channel it's going on you tube I stead of thop channel. If you are playing content on Mi box then internet is required my mi box only. 2. Maybe because TV hardware is much better then Mi box 3. Check your internet connection 4. TV on and off then get a tv engineer and apps maybe updating 5. Maybe a bug, will be fixed with an update 6. Maybe the app is not compatible 7. You cannot expand internal storage of the mi box. 8. Keep Up to date apps and mi box software 9. Thop tv is a sideloaded app and hence Google cannot read it. Hope it helps

Why r u installing from browser first of all. If you want to side load apps then download on laptop or PC and then put it on pendrive and plug in mi Box and install. You will get most of the apps on Google Play Store. Don't worry.
