Harry Caray is the man, he can never be replaced, he truly is a legend, he's to Chicago what Bob Uecker is to Milwaukee Brewers fans.

As a kid growing up in Colorado in the 80s when cable tv was new we got the Cubs games on WGN....many summer afternoons were spent watching Harry, Steve Stone and the old Cubbies. Good, care free days

Ah the wonders of cable back in the 1980s when my grandpa got it. Watching WGN and Cubs baseball with him and seeing Harry Carey and the 7th inning stretch! Great memories.

Brings back memories! My little guy loves him some Harry Caray and asked if he could sing during the 7th inning stretch with him someday. :( Wish he had an opportunity to meet such a character. Go Cubs Go!

The Cubs REALLY need to have Harry Caray sing every 7th inning stretch at Wrigley. Not "guest" conductors. They are neither conductors nor singers. Harry was the total package!!! PLEASE CUBS.....PLEASE! As a native New Yorker, Harry Caray via WGN is how I became a Cubs fan when my parents got cable tv on our little old country road back in 1990; not because my parents didn't want cable tv, but because cable tv didn't come out our way until then!! SO Harry Caray IS the reason I am a Cubs fan for the past 26 years and for LIFE!!!!!!!!!! I'll never forget my first trip to Wrigley. I was still a youngin' and was walking about the concourse well before the game started. I was on the press box level approaching the stands in front of the press box area. All of a sudden I heard this loud commotion. I had no idea what was going on. Well, Harry had fallen and was out of the booth for about 6 weeks. Just so happened that he returned to the booth this game. The commotion was people screaming as he came up the ramp in a golf cart. I ended up standing less than 6 feet away from where Harry got off the cart to go up to the booth!! GO CUBS GO!!!!!!!

I agree or they should take turns between a tape of Harry Caray and even Ron Santo, there was during his last I don't know how many years of his life Ron Santo would even lead the stretch where he would do it from either the radio booth where he mainly did it from there, but sometimes he would be in the Cubs tv booth provided of course the game being broadcasted by the Cubs tv annoucers and not a game being broadcasted either on FOX or ESPN. Last Tuesday they you would be happy to learn that they did play in fact I believe this very same footage of Harry Caray singing the stretch at Wrigley Field right up on the video board.

They should never go back to anything else. You could use different versions throughout the season or in different years.

Don't wanna be rude here but Harry looks like some drunk priest. It's like he's throwing holy water at the fans with his microphone.

+BryLopez Oh no, you're not being rude. He's plowed. He did that all the time. He'd call the game in innings 1-3 on WGN, go on the radio for 4-6. By the time he came back on the air he was smashed. But that's why we loved him.

Dan Endris I remember moving from upstate Michigan to the Detroit area when I was little, where I could see Cubs games on WGN for the first time. I remember Harry Caray slurring so bad midway through the game and being too young to know why! I look back on that and love it too...I get a tear in my eye when I watch him sing here.
