Hey mate - in this video we said "they are legal in Vic & NSW" these have approved by fisheries as a legal trap. In Vic & NSW some of our estuaries are actually tidal. If there not legal in QLD which i believe they aren't - we never had said that they were.Cheers

i got one of these traps and i cant for the life of me catch a mullet ive tryed the mirror trick diffrent bread crumbs and sum bread as well, ive been going to a place i seen 1000s of mullet yet they never go it the trap, got any advice? ive been hitting many river banks and creeks , is high tide on the flats the best is it? also the trap catches heaps of fish just no mullet catch schools of baby bream and stuff,,, how long did u actual end up waiting till u walked over to that trap? what bread crums use?? pls help i spent a few weeks on trying to catch mullet and nothing also i live in tweedheads so is u know a spot i should try that would be raddd good vid too guys

hey mate, I don't have one of these traps but I do have experience with catching mullet. Early Morning high tide or late afternoon high tide, Colder weathers are more productive, they don't like to feed mid-day or when it gets too hot. try these tip and see what happens. I made a thro away trap out of a 5L bottle and I managed to get 5-6, obviously not as much as this VID but I mean, it worked, I used brown bread witch again is a red light, white bread works better, IDK what else I can add. I also played with shallow to deeper water for consistency and to see what worked better, keeping your distance also stops spooking the fish, so obviously you want a quiet area, away from other people. good luck, I know it's a year late reply but I hope you see this and you have some luck and feedback :) tight lines.
