Lube is safe, it’s technically less of a chemical compound then most makeups. Makeup has harsh chemicals, additives like metals and talc. Because lube goes internally it has to be extraordinarily body safe.

As far as the lube as primer goes, the main thing that will likely tell whether it will work or not is the chemistry behind it. There are water, oil, and silicone based foundations, and silicone and water based lubes. If you use a silicone-based lube with a water-based foundation, it'll separate. If you use two products with the same base, they'll blend nicely. This is also why sometimes your foundation and primer separate, no matter what you do, but other people seem to love it. I hope that helps. :)

I thoroughly enjoyed this video and then nearly cried when you pick the Lupus foundation for the charity. I have lupus and have the majority of my life but wasn't diagnosed until 7 or so years ago when my body really started to fail me and I thought I was truly not going to wake up in the morning. All that to say, I'm thankful that people are giving to a foundation looking for a cure to the disease that plagues my life as a mother and a still relatively young woman. (31) so thank you!!

The color-changing blush reacts to the heat from your skin which is why it didn't change nearly as quickly on your hand as it did on your warm cheeks. If you put it on your lips, for example, it would get super pink SUPER fast. :) It's the same idea as the blue lipstick one! Heat-activated.

It does eventually dry 😂 especially with a thin layer. I had someone use it to stick glitter to my face for a music festival- they swore up and down that it worked better than anything and it really did. It dries but goes sticky.

Fun fact before primers the NYX jumbo crayon in “milk" was very popular back in late 2000s it was used a eye primer and highlighter for the brows. I remember using it all the time when in high school and I loved Japanese fashion “Gyaru” and they used it a lot.

The color changing blush works because of a pigment (red 27, i believe) that is clear in the product until it reacts with the moisture in your skin and turns pink/red, with the shade depending on the pH of your skin. You can test this rubbing a bit of vinegar, citric acid, or acid-based skincare on your skin, next to some water/baking soda, and then swatching the makeup on each section. Ive found that lower pHs gives a darker pink and higher pHs gives a brighter, almost neon pink (btw for the pigment, I've heard that the pigment is colorless in a waterless solution, and but ive also read that the pigment is colorless at a pH less than 2, so I'm not sure which it is)
