Yeah the reason the red dress is so floppy compared to the picture is that the dress in the picture is taffeta, which is much stiffer than the much cheaper synthetic material in the dress you got. That's also why it's a different colour, taffeta frequently has a two-coloured weave so that it looks iridescent.

That length is what is actually called calf-length or "tea-length" not ften seen in modern dresses more in vintage clothing.

Haha I brought my year 11 prom dress from EBay. It was more expensive than the ones Mia tried but still was only £30. The dress was GORGEOUS. The material was amazing, the colour was beautiful, the jewel detailing was perfect. The entire back was a lace up back so it would fit perfectly and honestly I had one of the best dresses on the night haha. So my point is you don’t have to pay loads for a beautiful dress!!! ❤️

I have to, have to say this. You are such a positive girl! Hats off to you for finding so much good in these dresses. I am a fashion enthusiast and a lot of the clothes I wear, I design myself. Sometimes I can make a dress or even an Indian Lehanga (which is such a crazy outfit ofc) in less than 50 Dollars and it looks so expensive. There is a technique to buying fabric and converting it so that it looks and feels expensive. All these dress are so poorly constructed. The first one is nightmarish (I am so sorry but I cannot), the beading is off, the overlap is disgusting, the neckline is scewed. The second one, urgh. Please don't say you make it look bad, cause you are pretty awesome I am sure. ITS JUST A BAD DRESS. I would not recommend anyone to waste even 10 dollars on this stuff. Yes, constructing your own dress/designing/etcetc will take hard work but you'll end up with something fabulous. Also, maybe it's because in India, fabric is beautiful and cheaper. Textile is amazing and we have great artisans who know their work. Not really sure what the cost of stitching a garment where you live or in other places around the world is. I am sure you can add to the quality of your wardrobe better tho. And girl, you got some mad patience. Trying on all these dresses and finding beauty in them. I am straight up hater if I dont like something and I really appreciate the positivity.

It looks like it was cut intentionally for someone with a curvier shape. Which is something I dooo not like about women's clothing 99% of the time. These brands play a guessing game when they try to design around boobs/butts since everyone is so different. I envy the way men's clothes are designed where it's all just super straight.😂

I’ve always found it weird that in other countries school years don’t match up with the calendar year. It just confuses the crap out of me haha. In Australia the school year starts in January and ends in December, with a 6 or 7 week holiday over Christmas/ summer (because Christmas is in summer here) the formal season (you call it prom) is usually November, and only the graduating year goes to it. Like we don’t have a year 10 prom or anything like that it’s only for the year 12s who are leaving school. My kids go back to school tomorrow we’ve just finished the 2 week easter holidays. Very random comment that has very little to do with your video but you were talking about prom season being in may/June and it confused the crap out of me for a moment. Also I actually like the red dress. It could be better but it’s kind of cute

In America, school let out in the summer so that the kids could help on the farm. After being off for a couple of months it was probably better to just start a new year than try to continue.

In England we start school in September and the end of the school year is in July, and prom is around May or June and I had a prom in my last year of primary school which is year 6 (but not all schools do that sometimes it's just a party) and you have a prom in your last year of high school which is year 11, right now I'm 12 and I'm in year 8 I will be turning 13 in July

Mia Maples think it was "missmartins.dk", it was like 4 years since i bought mine, but at the moment they have 2 nice sequin prom dresses for only 16 dollars 👍🏻 If you go to "kjoler" -> "Lange kjoler" -> go to "filter" in the top and choose the cheapest option 00-99kr, and scrool to the button, the last 2 ☺️

We just finished grade 8 grad dress shopping. We bought a dress similar to the one you liked. It had an off the shoulder white lace top and a full floor length skirt and the material was good. We had went to Le Chateau, Elle couture, bridal stores, every dress store in Madisonville mall. Pricing ranged from $495 to $169 +taxes for what we were looking at. We finally found dress911. They had some stunning dresses at reasonable prices. For grade 8 I don't real lace, synthetic material is fine especially if the cost is a third.

The first dress! HAHAHA wore it during my graduation ball. Tho I made some alterations because of the "cut layer part of the skirt". I took it off the skirt and sew it at the upper part. Like a shawl or something. And every time you get out of the dress, sequins fall out and some sticks to your skin. It's not that bad tho. I just got no choice since it arrived a few days before the event
