The reason why the shipping time is different is because ROMWE uses a few different warehouses for its clothing. These two in the US one in China and a few others around the world. Usually they’ll check the warehouse closest to you. If its out of stock they’ll check the second closest. They keep doing that until they find it.

In case you're wondering from someone else who has ordered from romwe: My shipping only took two weeks for both orders I have gotten from them (I live in Ohio btw). The cotton products seem to be better than other materials. Velvet it nice and soft with the perfect stretch, I got two beautiful holiday dresses and received many compliments on the one I have already worn! Take advantage of free shipping when it comes around, the minimum purchase cost can be as low as $10.00! Also everything I received was both true to size (they have measurements to go off of!) and it all looked like the pictures! Only one thing that I got was a bit stiff and I did not like the quality, but I might still find a way to wear it. Hope this helps if you plan on ordering from them :)

I’m finding this video 4 years late, but my first Romwe purchase was 6 years ago (2016) and at that time shipping did take a very long time. But pretty quickly, only took a couple weeks, which was shocking to me when I was expecting to have to wait. I was told they had more warehouses, but I don’t know the accuracy of that. Would have liked Mia’s thoughts on the suit, even if she tried it off camera, because I don’t believe the swimsuits or the leggings are made correctly/well.

The ROMWE trademark was filed by “Hong Kong Shein Group Limited” meaning that the ROMWE brand is owned, developed and produced by the parent Shein Group Ltd. Not surprising though, many well-known brands from clothing to food to automobiles are owned by/own or affiliated with others, unbeknownst to most. The velvet dress wasn’t fitted in the lower back because it didn’t have darts (a design and fit feature to taper garments following the shape of the body, tailoring items for better fit). It’s common for lower end clothing producers to omit these kind of details, relying on the stretch of the fabric alone to “fit” curves as each additional detail in the items production ups the cost and therefore ultimate retail price to consumers. Costs with that fuzzy lining and lapel detail are typically referred to as “shearling coats” however Sherpa is the correct term to use in this instance. Shearling is a natural material made from brushed sheepskin while Sherpa is the synthetic version. When looking at inexpensive items, the material used will most certainly always be the much lower priced sherpa (or faux shearling) although items are commonly and incorrectly labeled “shearling jackets/coats”. As for the “unopened” button holes seen on many items, they are representative of the garment being new (as someone would certainly need to use the button and therefore open it, if previously worn) although the reason for the closure is not just for purposes of displaying its new condition to buyers. When constructing and finishing the button hole in production, the final step is to cut through the opening. With inexpensive items being produced as quickly and cost-effectively as possible, it appears that this last step has been shortcut and left for the buyer to do. To highlight, compare this with your experiences buying higher end pieces when details like this are always taken care before leaving the factory. Just another indicator of price/quality/detail in manufacturing. They are extremely low priced because of low priced inputs in production. Most notably, inexpensive materials and “fast as possible” construction with (almost certainly) appallingly unethical and unjust working conditions. Workers with few very few job opportunities and dire, poverty-stricken circumstances accept factory jobs from companies like Shein where they work very long hours for mere dollars (converted) a week. Conditions in such factories are certainly harmful - no ventilation, crowded, lacking safely features like acceptable fire exits and dangerous machine precautions, movements with time & repetition-causing injuries - with little or no worker protection from such abuse. If a worker is injured or companions, they will certainly be replaced or retaliated against. People in dire money circumstances have no choice but to accept such jobs, while at the same time, market pressures and global ever-decreasing cost influences put companies in positions where they can easily take advantage of low worker costs to beat competitors by cutting costs and therefore upping their bottom line profits. Dynamics that make it increasingly important to support those companies that DONT take advantage of unethical business practices and strain to make the “right” human rights choices. Do remember - not only low-priced type of companies abuse workers. High-end likes like Gucci or LV are JUST as likely to employ unethical business practices to save on costs and it’s important to look into the ethics of any company you choose to support and buy from. Just be careful not to confuse “quality” with “acceptability” when classifying markedly affordable items - a very very common tendency I’ve witnessed in these kind of review videos out there. A shoe that’s free of obvious defects, a swimsuit made out of acceptable swimsuit material, fishnets that appear to be as stated - items that fit their description and purpose, free of glaring fit and material problems - are, in my (rational and fair) opinion, “acceptable”, when considering expectations based on price and origin. “Quality” however, should be based on entirely elevated criteria; criteria which is very very rarely studied and outlined in such reviews. I’m not at all saying that the items are bad - they fit their intended purposes and can be super cute - just not “quality” goods . This line of thought shouldn’t be taken in an offensive manner at all. Taking a step back: pieces purchased from these extremely low-priced sites are in line with what the price signals as garments and accessories that cost so little to produce cannot conceivably be made with the materials, precision, detail or time needed to result in quality goods that will withstand the test of time (keep shape, look good for years, breathe/insulate, not warp, stay true to color, have nice fit/closure/adjustability/seam/hem/pattern/fit detail etc) and be produced ethically. We get what we pay for - and anything outside of that wouldn’t truly make sense. Anyways, that was very long-winded. I guess there are a lot of thoughts that arise with the huge explosion of these type of videos and support of undoubtedly unethical companies, and the understandable frustration of the promotion that they are quality goods (that only furthers support and purchases). Take it or leave it, just do consider it. Last (less “deep”) comments: why does she always say she has a weird body shape? Thin and not-very-curvy (I’m the same) is such an easy body type to buy for since nearly everything fits and issues like having too large of a chest, unflattering clinging to certain areas, sleeve/pant length etc don’t happen and most items ordered blindly online look decent or good. I’d say that it’s the easiest body shape to buy for! And for the first swimsuit shown, she had said it was unlined but it def looked like it was lined (white fabric). What did that comment mean??

I buy from ROMWE all the freaking time, I enjoyed your video about this website. Clothes are actually 90% are very good quality and ridiculously cool prices. Most of the time I get like 10 pieces at 60$. My advice is always shop "New in sale" and check sizing! Would not suggest to buy shoes from them. I had bad experience twice but clothes - just love!!! Don't be scared to buy from them! Also they sell same clothes as SHEIN(original manufacturer) but TWICE CHEAPER.

Romwe is actually just a collection of wholesale warehouses across the globe. They get clothing from all kinds of companies. Sometimes they get lines that never went out, were cancelled, or were overstocked. Most clothing companies that send their items to sites like romwe, remove their own branding, though sometimes romwe, or similar sites, remove the branding themselves. However, it's obvious that romwe has other priorities or they are just really bad at consistently checking all of the clothing. Thanks for the review! Loved the corduroy jacket.

Janae G No the sizing is definitely not the same. Since the clothes are produced in China, the sizes are catered to the Asian body type which is typically smaller. So I would highly recommend that you size up!👍🏼

Janae G you don't always have to size up, just read the measurements on the website, I'm DEFINITELY not a small in an Asian country because I'm tall, but for the most part I was still a size small for a lot of the clothing on romwe/shein. (I've bought clothes from both.) A lot of clothes do run true to size, but yes sizing up would be an issue in other pieces of clothing.

Generally speaking, the amount of time it takes to ship depends on what time of the year you order and also what you order. Asian have a lot of holidays that a lot of us have no knowledge of, some of them week long and it slows down everything. One of the HUGE things that people never take into account is that almost all companies and brands have slightly different sizes to each other, most small/medium/large are more like guidelines for measurements because everyone is shaped differently. And in Asian countries people are overall much smaller than people in western cultures, so when you look at items you like the look of on China/Japan (and other surrounding countries) based online stores you must ALWAYS look at their size charts, and even then some items (on all websites) have slightly different measurements than the standard, but they all have a size chart available to tell you the exact measurements of the item you want to purchase. Not a lot of people know, or can be bothered to learn what they're only precise measurements are because it can be tedious and time consuming, but you only have to learn them once and then you can write them down so you don't end up spending money on clothes that don't actually fit you. And another thing about shipping is the cost and time it takes items to come all the way from such countries, if you pay extra they'll get to you quicker. Some items come by boat and others by plane, sometimes both. It takes roughly an entire day/24 hours to fly as a passenger from America or the UK to China/Japan which includes all security checks and layovers. The screening process for products/goods is much tougher because a lot more could be hidden in parcels. No one thinks about the process of how something gets from A to B, they just complain that whatever it is inconveniences them without thinking. I personally, have ordered a lot from Romwe and have never had an issue. And customer service have always been great, the English translation isn't always on point but it's a second or third language for them, all you can be is understanding and patient.

I live in Canada also and when I ordered from them I also had to pay customs but they refunded me some of it. I'm not sure if they always do it but its worth a shot!

There's a section on the website under your account called "tickets" or "submit a ticket" where you basically email them! I paid for the customs on my credit card so I had it on my account (if I remember properly) or I sent them a picture, I can't really remember. But online if you go to the faq it says "Are there any extra charges? Under common circumstance, there is no extra charge after you place an order successfully. However, due to some local regulations, your country may charge you with customs duties or taxes. We will do appropriate compensation if there are additional fees." !! I would just email them under your account and let them know you were charged customs and see what they can do :)
