Shea moisture is definitely a good product to use while transitioning... also for wash n go's.... ecostyler gels work very good for defining curls

Twist Outs, Braid Outs, Bantu Knots, and I recommend Shea Moisture (your choice of which kind of Shea Moisture) Coconut Oil, edge control, and eco styler

I would recommend Shea moisture's moisture retention shampoo and the restorative conditioner, and Shea moisture 10-in-one renewal system deep conditioner and as for styler Camille rose curl maker and Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie (but with these products it depends on if it'll work for your hair) and as for styles you can do twist outs, braid outs, flat twist, cornrows/French braids, these are really good for protecting your ends, I hope I helped and good luck on your journey 💕

I am 6 months natural and have grown 3-4 inches. I can't wait to do this. My straight ends are so ugly and I get a lot of comments about it. As soon as my hair is long enough I'm chopping!

Maliyah Avani For how long di You transition? if you did 🙂🙂💕
@maliyahf20127 жыл бұрын
Chelsea Okley I've been transitioning for about a year! Within that year I would cut off an inch or so because I would be so annoyed with it! I recently big chopped last month because I was so over the straight ends! I'm going to post my journey soon... within a year my hair has changed DRAMATICALLY just but snipping the heat damage off 🙏🏿
@maliyahf20127 жыл бұрын
Guuurlll this was me for the whole year I decided to transition. I refused to cut off all my hair because I was afraid of my hair looking like a mushroom lol. So I trimmed off an inch or so whenever I felt like it or when I got annoyed with it (when the heat damage got straighter/ more noticeable). I wouldn't cut an inch off every week or month (bc you wouldn't see any type of growth). I would say randomly once every 2 months; however it wasn't a habit, because I would randomly cut it throughout the year. After I straightened my hair in May, I could tell my hair grew a lot, but my ends were horrible. I decided to "TRIM" my ends, but I went over board and just decided to big chop. TBH if I big chopped a year ago, my hair most likely would've been longer than it is now. BUT I wasn't committed to having short hair at the time, because of school and my lack of confidence on rocking short hair. I would say, if you're committed to rocking short hair and taking care of it... then GO for the BIG CHOP. However, if you want to wait it out and cut it every now and then because you feel like you're not ready, then that's fine also. If you're hesitating now I would say wait it out until you're 100% sure and confident to BIGCHOP!!! Sorry for the paragraph... I hope I helped you and anyone who decided to read this :)

That half up half down looked so cute on you! I big chopped in April. I've been loving the Aussie Moist conditioner on my hair, Mixed Chicks leave in conditioner, the Garnier Fructis sleek and shine conditioner, and when I put oil in my hair it might sound crazy but I put vegetable oil in my hair (because all it is is just soybean oil) and my hair loves it.

You and I big chopped after the same amount of time! I did my big chop a couple days ago after I had originally said I'd wait until the end of the year or at the end of two years. I don't regret it one bit! You look beautiful! ❤️ The tiny bits of relaxed ends left on mine annoy me so much but overtime i'll get rid of them I suppose.

Some products I would recomend is 1. Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie because it gives your hair great moisture as long as you seal it with oil 2. Eco styler gel this gel works great for me because it gives your hair great definition only if you put moisturizer in it before you apply the gel 3. Coconut oil helps to seal in the moisture after you apply your moisturizer and it gives your hair a nice shine 4. Coconut cowash by as I am because this is a cleanser for your hair but it doesn't dry out your hair like a regular shampoo 5. Mixed chicks deep conditioner this helps your hair to gain back its moisture if it's dry and it helps you get nice soft curls 6. Some tips would be to work in small sections, if you want to style your hair work on it while it's wet because you won't experience as much breakage as what it would be if it was dry, and to love your hair because everyone had different hair and you have to embrace your curls for what they are

My hair is literally like yours (before the cut), and I'm gathering up all the courage in me to cut it. I've started going natural since October 2016, but I never really cut the ends. I then realized that if I want real progress, I need to cut those ends. I've got 3c/4a hair type and if I cut my hair, it's gonna be really short and short hair does not go well with my face shape. I'm still gonna do it though. I also started when I was 14 too btw (I saw your last video) and I'm turning 15 this year. It's better that I start now.
