as an ex barista for 6 years, i learned the espresso shot dies when it comes into immediate contact with water or ice. the best flavor profile for the espresso shot for an iced americano is to have it mixed with a fatty/sugar. start with your iced cup, pour 3 shots over a splash of any milk/syrup pump, immediately stir THEN pour water and ice. my go to drink as well, lots of people came to me for americanos bc they knew i made them the best. try it out

9:54 - Highly recommend taking a barista or coffee tasting class. My 2nd manager at Starbucks put me in the Reserve training and so I did a really elevated training course; it's not the highest level by any means but I could technically host a coffee tasting with talking about notes in the coffee.
