I was like you too. I would meet someone walk away and can’t remember their name. An older woman told me she was like me and learned when you meet someone have them spell their name or you spell it to them. By looking at the person and doing this, will cause the name to stick in your memory. The older lady was right. I now have no problems remembering a person’s name. Try it next time it works.

Great video as usual! I didn't know about Nikki Beach, so thanks for the footage. I heard that there is now a ferry service from south beach to downtown Miami. That might be a good video to shoot as well.

I actually really dig your video style, a lot. When I was in Chicago and it was gloomy day after gloomy day , I'd look at palm trees and knew I'd go south one day. I like uncrowded beaches too. In Hollywood Beach it's very beautiful, but a pretty crowded beach unless you go early. I like to read on the beach(I'm a nerd) and having screaming nearby can ruin it. I like how you put your input in your videos, not gaudy music like some. I like all your content. Much respect when you said you didn't use women pics or shots on your content. Some just use women as click bare and their content is just ladies butts. Your content is good you don't need to do that. Awesome video much respect.

Great video, as always! I love these neighborhood walk and talks and getting to know these beautiful areas of Miami. I was wondering where a good hotel/resort would be to stay, if I came with my husband and son. I love the Delano, The Eden Roc, The Fontainbleu, and The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, BUT I don't want a party vibe with loud rap or club music blaring. Something nice and with all of the amenities, but without the raucous party vibe. If there is a good family-friendly hotel on the beach, I would love to know about it, and exactly where. Also, will you be doing a video on the Bal Harbor area sometime? I am interested in all areas of South Florida...Ft. Lauderdale, the Keys, etc. Thanks, Michael! :-)

Thanks a lot! Off the top of my head, you may want to consider the W and also the Miami Beach Edition and the AC Hotel right across the street. It is a little further north and the vibe should be a little more relaxed and night as party as right in the heart of south beach. But a lot of hotels here tend to attract that crowd so its tough to say and probably depends on if its a major holiday weekend or not. Yes I may do Bal Habrbour too I love that area. But I may change the style after receiving a lot of helpful criticism in my post about this video. I want to make the videos as best as I can for everyone !😀

Love your videos man. Im on my way to fort lauderdale for the weekend on oct 10th. I am looking at cities in florida that are dog friendly(husky shepherd), relatively cool climate, and has big waves...I visited st Augustine and it seemed nice but definitely a small coastal town. I heard of reef road have you been there?

I do believe fisher island was separated in 1905 from Miami Beach for the port. Imagine if that was all still connected. Had my birthday at the local house (49:10) 6 years ago. Had the whole place to myself and my friends on a Wednesday night. I don’t remember the food though honestly, but loved the beach house vibe. Then went to the Dream Hotel afterwards. They have a great rooftop pool. Don’t even know if that hotel is still there. It’s super cool inside.

I don' think the people who live on fisher island would be too happy if anyone could just drive there as if it were part of sobe lol. Oh nice! It seems like the local house is closed or out of business. Last couple times I walked by it was closed. Sounds like you had a good birthday that year!!

Ah Michael - great video, lovely part of Miami to show us. It reminds me a lot of Santa Monica (Cali) with the mix of old and new and mixed use buildings which I lived near for 20 years. For the last 14 years, I've been in Ireland for the most part for my parents and when I return to the States I'm going to Florida - you are so right you would not get a 250 sq ft kitchen in LA (in a bad neighborhood) now for that price you can live on the beach there. And if (when) my numbers come up, you're my realtor! when my Dad visited me in LA once we went to Miami and I swore when I hit 50 I'd move there but I came home instead. There was an apartment for sale around that area for $49K and boy do I wish I had moved then and there. I bet you're glad you picked Miami over LA now. Do you have any concerns with the water rising in that part of Miami yet? I've watched a few videos now with residents concerned about it but also the City working on improvements to do what they can.

@@jamie615 your initial impression of it here is pretty accurate!Here in Miami Beach the winters are usually warmer than that. Most days are in the low 80s to upper 70s and maybe 60s or 50s at night time.Although 50s are pretty rare. Northern Florida gets a lot colder though

With so many paths and directions to go in life these days, making a decision is pretty overwhelming. That's how it is has been for me too. Of course you do have the degree on your side if you wish to use it, and that bitcoin helps too 😉 But that stuff aside, it still has to be something you really feel good about. Like me making these videos, is something I wish I would have started 10 years ago, but never had the thought / courage to do so. I hope to be able to inspire you through my videos some how, and maybe one day it will just click!

Hi Michael. Great video. I have a question about co-ops. What are the pros and cons? If a real estate transaction is a cash purchase can they deny your admittance into the co-op?

Thank you Olive! Good question. Pros of a coop is property taxes and most utilities are usually included in your monthly HOA. Downside is you own shares in a corporation and not the actual unit. Also, almost impossible to get financing for. Technically the board can usually do whatever they want as long as its legal, including denying admittance of anyone applying. Paying cash is irrelevent . But if that does happen, I would be hard pressing them to find out why and make sure its not a discrimination issue 👍

Yes Fisher Island was all connected and Carl Fisher bought it from Dana Dorsey, the first multi million dollar African American. He wanted to create a separation and make it an island. Prior to this it was a wedge of land with coconut palms and mangroves that sat in Biscayne Bay. Nice walk and history information.

Michael Bordenaro Ah the joys of being the great granddaughter of one of the founding fathers of Hallandale Beach, you grow up being given history lessons on Florida, no Dr. Seuss books, just loads of letters, articles & storytelling about FL. Fisher Island in its natural state was gorgeous! Clyde Butcher, the famous photographer, took so many photos of it. He’d literally walk through the mangroves and shoot pics. Stunning.

It probably depends on where you are looking. Like in NYC for example it is common for tenants to pay the broker. But here in Miami, it is not. The landlord pays the commission. Make sure you don't get scammed!

@@chrisgt198726 You're welcome! So in that case you shouldn't have to pay a broker fee. You'll want to have at least a mid 650 credit score. That pretty decent, and average. Could be lower, but might scare away some landlords. I have a place available right now for $1250/mo studio, utilities included (except cable / internet) Has parking, fully furnished, close to everything will be available 10/15. Not sure if that meets your criteria
