U are correct in throwing in the OLBs as D-Line in how they are used. Dolphins play a 2-4-5 defense with both OLBs playing as primarily pass rushers. Just not with hand in the ground. OLB/DE. Phillips DT Seiler DT Tart OLB/DE. Calais Campbell Long and Brooks at ILB With Shaq Barrett, Chop and Kamara rotating at OLB/DE until Chubb returns in November Concern still at DT behind Seiler and Tart with Benito Jones, Pili and Hand pretty much all they have in rotation. An injury to Seiler would derail their season.

I'm not worried about the DL. Looking back at history Arnsparger tweaked the defense and created the 53 man defense because he realized how good Bob Matheson was and history was made. Let's see if DC Weaver can come up with something as well. Wilkins will be missed but let's see if his production is replicated thru scheme changes. Bring on the season.

The INTERIOR OLINE is the major issue and concern for sure. Tua's whole entire career as a Dolphin Tua hasn't had an average oline. Tua's whole career has had the worst oline in the entire NFL 4 seasons in a row( 31st, 32nd, 25th, 31st thats without meantioning the serious interior injuries the oline took. Thats in win rate in Tua's career!!! Doug I don't see why nobody doesn't agree with you. I've been saying this right after the season. This past season it wasn't on one person like people want to belame it was on INJURIES the reason the last 3 games were lost 💯 %!!!

COTD: I understand bringing in 100 Defensive Tackles for competition but how can you fairly evaluate them when they all have to share plays and reps? I’m assuming the coaches are going with a “clear cut” approach. Btw Good looking Deck….pause…😂

This area probably got worse. Hand will be on the field way more(which I don't dislike him, but it makes the group weaker than last year). Gallimore is literally just college friends with one of our coaches so I hope he doesn't make the team just because he's friends with one of the coaches when he should be evaluated based on his ability rather than friendship. You say here that DL will take a step back(which I agree and seems obvious imo), but in your video yesterday I think you said it would be better.

Neither Phillips nor Chubb should've had season ending injuries. Chubb was playing at a time when he should not have even been on the field (stupid Fangio decision) while Phillips was injured on the pathetic Met Life Stadium turf that has caused many severe injuries to numerous players.
