@@debshm9477 He's not selfish cut it out, he puts his body on the line to keep plays alive. He could easily play it safe, he already has the stats to go to the NFL. The Original comment is true however. He treated a 2nd and 10 like a 4th and 20. The issue with the Canes is that they haven't improved as a team. Great teams improve and become more sound as the season goes on. They're extremely talented but they aren't sound. Georgia Tech was sound and took what they were given ( and took some more in the rush game). Hopefully he learns from it. It's still on the coaches, they left 6 points on the board when they have a really good kicker. The coaches have to talk to the QB playing hero ball every week. If Cam Ward didn't play that way the Canes would be 6-4. So while he messed up big time at the end of the game it's that same drive that made the Canes 9-0. It's up to the coaches to cultivate that skill and let Cam know it's okay to throw it away.

I was at the game today and here are our problems. We had two opportunities in the first half to put field goals on the board but we went for it instead and didn’t get it. We didn’t play with any sense of urgency and basically got out played. Cam had opportunities to run out of the pocket to gain yards throughout the entire game but he’s hanging in here too long. Lastly, our Defense, our Defense and our Defense is just not following the ball or reading the direction of the play. I can actually see the play developing but our defense is elsewhere.

The defense is not good. The offense didn’t play well, but people are overlooking the bad coaching decisions. If we kick those 2 field goals instead of going for it on 4th down and kick the point after instead of going for 2, that gives us 7 more points. We might have been able to win even with a terrible performance. This was not the coaching redemption we needed after last year’s disaster. It was more of a confirmation that we make awful coaching decisions.

i am a die hard canes fan. But I have to be honest. Watching the bama game I see that the canes are not in the same class. SEC is much better than the ACC. They handle LSU without an issue while Miami had a hard time against WHO? I bought into the inexerience of the DB's but it is the entire defense. I do not by into the lack of experience anymore since they did not improve week to week . I think it might be a coaching issue. I would not be surprised to see the DC being replaced

You’re right. No excuses we lost a game. If anyone would have told you this would be our position after 10 games I think every canes fan would happily take it. They’re college kids. So far there’s only a couple teams in the entire country that haven’t had a bad day. Our defense isn’t playing at a college level but on the other hand our offense is great. University of Miami actually has a player on the Heisman watch list. It was a great run but reality needed to hit this team and this is a perfect opportunity to get these kids minds right. If we finish the season with 1 loss regular season that would be the best thing I’ve seen from Miami in 22 years. I’ve been at this for 40+ years. Everything will work out. F the haters.
