Golden Triangle Pt II (co-written by Mann) and Bushido aren't just great Castillo episodes, they're two of the best episodes in the series. Edward Olmos' impact on the golden years of Miami Vice cannot be overstated. Another killer trailer, Laz.

A great Castillo-centric episode! Love to see pre-Sledge Hammer David Rasche in action; his appearance here probably won him his famous role as Sledge Hammer! Stellar work as always, Lazarus. Can you do one for "Payback" if you haven't already?

probably my favourite Vice episode. the soundtrack and the Gretsky storyline was awesome. Pluses also for including Jerry Hardin (although little screentime), David Rasche and Dean Stockwell to the cast. a proper thriller! Very good trailer!

Awesome job! Castillo is my favorite character and this is probably my favorite episode. His Stoicism & adherence to the Bushido Code made him very memorable, especially juxtaposed with Crockett and Tubbs who are shall we say.... practice far less self discipline. I really like all the episodes where we learn more about Castillo's background in East Asia, but I also love that so much of him was left as an enigma. Olmos commands the screen in all of his roles. Castillo and Adama are two of the top 10 TV characters of all time IMO and they are very different from eachother despite both being EJO. Incredible actor.

I like how 'Bushido' dialogues with the Japanese classic film 'Samurai Rebellion' (1967), in particular the relationship between Gretsky and Castillo as they resemble the characters played by the greats Toshiro Mifune and Tatsuya Nakadai. Congrats once again for another great trailer!

Hi, I like your great New version of Bushido episode even if v1 was already perfect. I know and appreciate your Bushido v1 trailer for years (where you used Shriekback's Coelocanth music from Michael Mann's movie Manhunter). Its structure and rythme were already on TOP. Dean Stockwell is perfect as secret agent Jack Gretsky who wanna put his wife and son in safety zone with the help from his friend Lieutenant Castillo (Edward James Olmos who also directed the episode). John Leekley's scenario didn't give Russian spies and CIA Agents the best part and fully gave it to Castillo himself (which decision pleased E.J. Olmos). Crockett and Tubbs, as the main parts of major episodes, had lights on them everytime so Michael Mann aggreed to create some episodes focused on each secondary characters along seasons to put some fresh on screen. As a director, E.J. Olmos was the first who got access to focused episodes because he promised he could deliver a selfmade episode. Michael Mann already knew E.J. Olmos wanted to direct since Golden Triangle part 2 episode were Olmos gave him ideas on Castillo's asian secret past for the scenario (written by Michael Mann and Maurice Hurley). Golden Triangle part 2 and Bushido episodes found quick success so Olmos ideas always found their way to Michael Mann. Enjoy

@@MOTAHOLIC Hi, the actress who plays Laura Gretsky in Bushido episode is credited Natasha Detante. In fact, this is one of the alias of Natascha Schneider. She played little parts in 4 movies and was better known as a musician before she died on july 2nd 2008 in L.A. She was casted with success on Bushido because she could really speak russian (she was born lettone) and did a VERY GREAT job as a former KGB Agent ! In Florence Italy episode only 2 female characters have been credited: Annie Golden (who plays Tommy the talented mechanic) and Alix Elias (who plays Beatrice). The actress who played the owner of the store were they found the camera objectives to spot the real driver of the white Porsche has never been credited and I've seen no sign at all of any part played by Natascha in Florence Italy episode, sorry. But you're right this episode is a must watch and a classic too. Enjoy

@@AQUAHOLIC Well, it took me 2mn research just to check if Natascha played on Florence Italy, when she died and name of other actresses credited (things I needed to check before writing any answer). All other informations are things I know since the 80's (I watched each episode since release and know each one as far as possible for decades). So, it took me much longer time (10mn) to write a complete answer than to get any info! PS: I had to do 0 research for this one but it took me long to write it (5mn).
