This was and still is the coolest cop show of all time and song to match Russ Ballard voices is the coolest song, I wish they would bring back a new series where Crockett,Tubbs,Gina and Trudy train up a new generation of detectives and go on jobs with them.

If they ever did that I would love to play the Crockett Esq. character that would drive a black c7 corvette with a tan interior and in one of the episodes it gets blown up where Crockett gives me the keys of the Testarossa, also my character would date/marry the Gina Esq. character

“Last chance, Mendez! Give us a hook!” Love that line from Tubbs. I’m surprised “Voices” by Ballard never took off as a bigger hit. It’s got such a cool sound.

The song that was originally used for this sequence when it was aired on TV, was not "Voices" by Ballard but "You can´t turn back" with Red Rider....In the DVD release "You can´t turn back" is for some reason swopped for Voices but on my old VHS tapes from back in the days it is there.... The same goes the television reruns that use "You can´t turn back". Probably the "You can´t turn back" track was removed due to rights issues. YCTB is tensionwise a better choice for this sequence than "Voices" as Voices is a very laid back track...and the title has no relevance to the story but YCTB on the other hand, is a song that in its temperament conveys the tension and intensity of things to come... Voices has been added to the sound track of the series in later years. The title of the song "You can´t turn back" also conveys the storyline of the episode and the plot of the series up until then... In the end of the episode when Tubbs and Crockett are heading back from S:t Andrews to Miami, the song that is played is "Many rivers to cross" sung by Joe Cocker. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGXYgKeFisp6fM0

Hmm not true in the UK - Voices was the track heard in the 80s, I remember it clearly. Later ad hoc repeats had diffeent tracks
