I do not own any copy of this episode of Miami Vice. I just want to show the best TV series in history. Scene comes from 2x19 Payback Music is : Jan Hammer - Castillo Theme ( Previous in 2x08 Bushido) Classic "dark" scene.

This was the first show, at least to me, where it felt like I was watching a movie. The acting, music and atmosphere was so different than any other series at that time.

Everyone in the cast of Miami Vice was born to play their parts, especially Don Johnson, PMT and Eddie Olmos. The side conversations between Crockett and Tubbs were priceless, especially when they made each other laugh. And, during the serious stuff, they caused you to get a lump in your throat. They always made everything seem so real. There will never be another Crockett and Tubbs ♥️

True story sister. Don and Edward hated each other in real life and it showed on screen

@@parkjamesshaw3189 You are correct. They didnt like each other when EJO first joined the cast because they had very different acting styles. However, as the years went by, they became friends. But even if they hadn't become friends, they were still born to play their parts ♥️

Lt. Castillo: the coolest, most profound, no-B.S. cop in TV history.

True but Don and Edward hated each other in real life. Ego thang. Don worth over 600 million Edward, we'll hang on to don's jockstrap. Same thing don told Collin Farrell after Miami vice movie.

@@parkjamesshaw3189 Don was pretty cool as a no-BS Vietnam vet turned vice cop. But he was A COMPLETE GIRLY MAN compared to Edward.

For this to be a tv show during 1984, 85, 86.. I keep seeing comments like "..for those who did not live through and and experience this at the time, it can never fully be appreciated..." That's what I keep coming back to. A scene like this, story and characters and acting like this, editing and music like this simply hadn't previously existed in television at that time. It was like a quality 1-hr feature film presentation every Friday night.

As a kid watching every Friday night in the 80s I do remember being disappointed some weeks - and blown away many others. It was still the best by far at the time in my eyes. 🍻
