Here's a fun fact about this episode. The Power Station got the gig to appear on the show because Don Johnson was a close friend to the singer, Palmer's replacement, Michael Des Barres. Johnson also introduced the band to the masses at 1985's Live Aid concert.

​​@@therespectedlex9794This was from an episode of Miami Vice during it's second season (1985-86). Michael Mann did produce a Miami Vice feature film reboot with Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx as Crockett and Tubbs in 2008. Good film, IMO.

Good partner Tubbs keeping an eye on Crockett while dancing because he knows trouble is brewing. And the band just keeps playing during the brawl. No one before or since, on TV, had the swagger Don Johnson has ♥️

Great line dude, That lead singer was hiiiiigh ! Too bad the Robert Palmer wasnt in this scene. But how about Tubbs ---the mans was LOYAL to crockett . The fkn guy was dancing with a hot chic but kept looking to see if sonny needed his help & he jumped over shit and took 3 guys down .. I loved Miami Vice! I remember being a kid and seeing the Miami Vice Show with all its action-packed acting and pyrotechnics at Universal Studios. Ah memories! I love The Power Station! Great band. 🎬👏🎶

Well, he did join The Power Station after Palmer left (after getting good ideas from JT, AT & NR about good music) and sung with them throughout the entire tour and Live Aid. I saw them twice on that tour. He was good.

Power station(Robert Palmer)was a break away group from Duran-Duran. Simon Le Bon the original lead singer with Duran-Duran started who later started Arcadia. They later regrouped a decade later

The "new" singer, Michael Des Barres, also played a singer on an episode of WKRP. He was called "Dog," and his band, "the Scum of the Earth." The episode was called "Hoodlum Rock."
