All those trucks having difficulty with pulling out their heavy boats appear to be 2-wheel drive with no limited-slip rear differential. If their rear wheels are slipping, they can engage their emergency brake 3 or 4 clicks to "fool" the rear end into delivering torque to BOTH rear wheels instead of just the one with the least traction. They may have to give it just a bit more go-pedal, but it works if you don't have 4-wheel drive!

Some advise for those who are spinning their tires at the ramp: Outfit your boat and vehicle as you normally would. Go to a truck scale (CAT scale = $13.50) and weigh the entire combination. Disconnect the trailer and weigh the tow vehicle (reweigh at CAT scale = $3.00). Subtract the weight of the vehicle alone from the combined weight and this is the weight of the trailer. Subtract the rear (drive) axle weight of the vehicle only measurement from the rear (drive) axle weight of the combined measurement and that will give you the tongue weight. Adjust the position of the boat forward or backwards so the tongue weight it 10 - 15% of the trailer weight. If the tongue weight is lower than 10%, DO NOT DRIVE THAT RIG ON PUBLIC ROADS - EVER! If the tongue weight is too much for the rating of your tow vehicle, get a bigger tow vehicle or smaller boat / trailer.

(or county has someone to clean ramps regularly, yea right ) common sense goes a long way, might make things easier, more enjoyable, cheaper than transmission, tires, truck, blood pressure, plus others wanting to use ramp & waiting thier turn at slipping & sliding if not prepared also, by the way high profile show off big slick tires make believe for show 4x4 trucks don't cut it, just something more expensive fancier to get stuck, how embarrassing, good for vids like this, serious experienced boaters knows what's needed, still sometimes no guarantees, but gave it your best chance !
