A win is a win and I always root for the Dolphins to win, but let's not get too excited. The 49rs are a diminished, injured team who got more injuries yesterday and Purdy has shown he's just a guy without a great team around him. We beat another losing team in our stadium, but we are not a playoff team. I agree both coaches have maximize the roster. But there are still fundamental flaws in the construction of this team that won't be addressed until the offseason; and may never be addressed if Grier keeps his job. This is going to be another situation where Ross waits too long then everything falls part because Grier hasn't fixed the roster, and everyone gets fired and we start over. Wash, rinse, repeat. Either way, Happy holidays to both of you.

I said in the offseason they needed to trade Tyreek and get a good TE and a good o line in return. Kansas City show you in the playoff when you get up on these guys and play physical they struggle to get open.

Listen...Chris Grier's bad decisions with the roster has been overlooked for years passing on T.J watt,drafting iggy in the 1st not addressing the Oline,and definitely not picking up a quality qb(Dillan Gabriel lego!)after Tua's first concussion. Just a reminder... if Miami hadn't been bullied into placing Tua on IR he likely would of cleared protocol that following week and we would of already secured a playoff spot.

@@iec7587Josh 100% had a concussion. Bro was face down unconscious on the field, and was handed smelling salts to wake his ass back up. Tua has never had a seizure on the field. He had a physiological response that is incredibly common when someone gets knocked unconscious, and happens all of the time in that kind of situation. Josh Allen very well could have had a similar reaction, had he not been laying face down into the turf when he got knocked out.

Omar, you are the best but I wanted to tell you this before when you mentioned the Dolphins O Line being good when Kieth Sims and Richmond Web were there & you mentioned today... "tell me the great offensive line that Jake Long was on". I am not sure how old you are and how far you go back with the Dolphins but the OL was not great or good when Webb was there. Those two did a good job pass blocking protecting Marino's blind side. They were not great run blockers and we had the same talk on the Herald about lack of resources being put into the line, the same blown OL picks, and a running game that could just disappear for 4 quarters

After 32 you need more rest, but the body doesn’t break down until after 35/36/37 years old, depending on how you care for yourself, your history and genetics. I’m a former pro athlete and have seen this a lot. Armstead should play another year just to solidify his pocketbook for life. The Dolphins need to draft a top guard and sign another. Additionally need to draft some defensive linemen and use their 7th round pick in a quarterback. In fact, you should draft a QB every year, always. As for McDaniel… I’m fine keeping him AS LONG AS you hire a “senior advisor” above him that will be on the field. Someone like Pete Carroll.

Heres whats happenes to tyreek hill: target share. His drops were noticeable when he was putting up 1500+ yards. They stick out even more then fluorescent orange in snow when he isn't putting up those numbers. Other then that maybe hes lost a quarter step. Next year may be closer to a half...

I love this show! But I’m a person that pays attention to detail before I start to open up about things. The dolphins win and our dolphins beat writers always focus on why certain players didn’t do well. Instead of eating crow for thinking they would lose. Remember I’m not just referring to this game! Omar, dude! You're missing the bigger picture. Whether they had Garapalao or any other decent backup, it's really inconsequential. Because even with Tua in the lineup, the Dolphins just cannot compete with good teams. Just thst fact alone shows how far away this team remains. And Ross showed he really doesn't understand what it means to be a credible team in this league by celebrating so overtly a 7-8 team and another win vs a non-playoff team. As Dolphins fans, we're doomed to mediocrity so long as Ross is alive and coherent. Not that I am wishing ill will upon the man, at all. Just stating what appear to be the facts, unfortunately.

Clearly the focus is just not there lately. Reek belongs as a third rcvr because is too small and easy to defend. He simply has not been getting open on a dependable basis. Clearly bigger, taller rcvrs need to be 1st and 2nd choices, it has always been that way and nothing has changed. And let’s not get things twisted, he’s kind of a quirky case and then the multiple off-field probs.
