The best views of Miami. Sad Stiltsville are no longer building them and only a few exist. I live in Miami and the boating life is amazing. Thank You Miami Vice
@bb-us4ew2 жыл бұрын
Stiltsville has quite a past history it used to be a speakeasy in the 1930s during prohibition and a gambling den since Miami banned gambling in the early years and some say a brothel too ??

I miss the 80's and early 90's really bad and am not kidding either. Something is very wrong with the world today and cannot for the life of me figure out what it is. This show was something very happy to look forward to. I don't remember life being so complicated like 2000 until now.

Unusually for an American TV series, the show was shot on location in Miami, despite threats to move the production from the city later in the show's run due to the high costs it entailed. The realism this location shooting brought about, with an emphasis on the art deco design prevalent in the buildings of the city, helped the show stand out from contemporary police series. High production values also helped embellish this unique visual style, with cinematography that rivalled that of many movies, atypical of other 1980s television series. Each episode cost around $1.3 million to make, some 30% more than most other police series at the time. The series was one of the first to be broadcast in stereophonic sound, new to TV in the 1980s, which brought out the music and sound effects in a way rarely seen at the time.

When Anthony Yerkovich left the series the shows creator due to fighting with universal for creative control some episodes got stupid eg : baby blues , cows of October , missing hours , come on James brown as an alien leader ??? Stupid

The boat they kicked Frank Zappa off of used to reside up in the Port Clinton/Catawba, Ohio area. I got to see it a couple times, and talked to the guy who owned it. You could still see where they had the camera rig mounted in front of the cockpit of the boat. I guess some guy back in Miami has it now, unless he sold it too.

Or how much gas they use. When I lived in Miami, I had a 32 foot Wellcraft St. Tropez with twin Chevy 454's. At cruising speed, it burned 30 gallons per hour, at wide open throttle, that went up to 40 gph or better. Marina gas was about $2.20 a gallon back then (early 2000's,) but that was expensive back then.
