Which 3rd party transmitter did you find to be the most accurate and most reliable and do you use it regularly? The libre 2 was just released in the US and has been out for about nearly a week. The app is not available yet as it is still under FDA review. I find the reader feels cheap and the touch screen is not very receptive to touch and it takes multiple finger pushes to pick your selection! I do not like the fact that you have to chose each time the scan sensor option on the reader in order to get a reading, you should be able to simply put your reader near the sensor to get a reading! Does the libre app work the same way? To get a more accurate picture of your glucose trend over time one should use a 3rd party transmitter, as it will give you much a more accurate trend stats, which is by far the better measurement tool so one can hopefully adjust ones eating habits, insulin dosage etc. Without a 3rd party sensor, you are only getting a tiny snap shot of what led up to that moment? And it you take a reading let’s say every 4 -6 hours well, this will not be a a good measure tool? This is where the Dexcom excels! You get an accurate picture of your your levels every five minutes and it allows one to get a sense of what their glucose is doing throughout the day, with exercise, your eating habits, stress etc..So I believe that for anyone on insulin or those who experience hypo or hyper if using the libre system a 3rd party transmitter is a must!

I've counted 31 MiaoMiao. This solution looks better than the BluCon (notably the fact that you can recharge the battery, which should be kinda mandatory in 2020!). Please help, I’m new to CGam and have just upgraded from Libre 1 to Libre 2 Is this still worth using with the Libre 2? L2 has alarms but doesn’t display reading of alarm and still requires scanning however from my understanding, MM2 does not? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also how does MM2 compare to MM1 and bubble? At the moment I can only get the MM2 so that’s my only option. Thanks in advance.

One bug with design - Abbott claims the hole on the middle of the sensor shouldn't be covered and left free to "breathe". MM2 covers it. I use MM1.

Just switched to the libre after my insurance stopped covering dexcom and not having the alarms makes it hard. Would love this product! So I have ordered the Bubble and it will arrive this week, but after watching your review of the Miao Miao 2, it seems like it is a bit better. Did I make a mistake in going with the Bubble? I was concerned because the ios reviews on the Tomato App are pretty bad on the Apple Store, but they are all from 6 months ago and maybe things have improved? But should I return the bubble and go with the Miao Miao 2????

Hi Shawn. I plan to make a detailed video where I plan to compare these two. I don't think you made a mistake. The differences between these two are not significant and Bubble has definitely many advantages (smaller size, good looking app, very determined development team, etc.). If I were you I would keep Bubble, probably not worth going through the hassle of returning it unless there is something about MM2 that is extremely important for you. Hope this helps!

Hey @Type One Talks you said once that the hole in the center of the sensor has to be not covered for ventilation, but MiaoMiao2 covers it, did you experience any problems with it?

That is correct. Abbott says the whole should not be covered. From my personal experience I had no issues covering it with a patch or the Miao Miao transmitter. But that's just me so might not be the case for everyone. Thank you for pointing that out! Wishing you a great weekend!

On the inside part. I find spot very comfortable and I am glad I found your videos. I am still checking the difference betwen Libre and meter and they are running quite close. I do find Libre is showing a little lower sugar then meter for me. But it is the first day. If I understood it correctly it should be better the next day. Excellent overview and a quick question - I get that Miao Miao send GL data directly to the apps you mentioned but does it also work with the Librelink app? Reason for asking is that I use it now for scanning with the data saved to Libreview which my diabetic team have access to so they can check on me from afar!

MM does not send data to LibreLink app. To get data to LibreLink app you need to scan. Hope this helps.

I have recently commenced the Freestyle Libre and find it wonderful, but would love an alarm system to let me know when I go low overnight. As the Freestyle Libre 2 is not available here, the Miao Miao transmitter sounds a perfect adjunct to my Freestyle Libre 1. I hope I am one of the lucky winners!
