I've had lots of issues with my miaomiao2 and now it has finally stopped working. It has now been sent back to be replaced but I'm not feeling very hopeful about the next one being any better! I would love to give the bubble a shot as I'm a newly diagnosed T1 and the CGM had saved me from having to change career that I love and have spent many long years building up! Thanks for all the great videos as its allowed a newly diagnosed to understand the market and what's available being so new to it 👍

My experience with Blucon Nightrider has been great. My mother has been using it for past few months and she is able to manage her glucose level and diet easily. Their food insights option is extremely helpful. I can share my reading with my 5 loved ones.

About 3 weeks ago I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Then I got the Libre 2, which is an enormous relief for life and also brings a bit of quality of life with it. A few days ago I became aware of the Ambrosia Blucon and I have to say that I like it very much. If I could choose between these 3 sensors I would take the Blucon.

Great comparison, thank you, but one thing I would add: DON’T make the mistake I made when choosing the Nightrider. If you decide on the Nightrider because of the direct link to Apple Watch then be aware that this is very limited. It won’t work without a network connection - No good to me as a kite surfer and sailor and mountain bike rider who is often not getting network connection. Also it won’t work at all with a Series 4 Watch, which I have, or lower. I’ve gone back to simply using the high and low alarms going directly from my libre 2 to my iPhone (in an Aquapac in my wetsuit) sending the signal to my Apple Watch. Works fine in warning me to take action as and when necessary. 😀👍

I entered your last competition with the miao Miao 2 and sadly wasn’t lucky that time! I’m really keen to try ANY of these options because my control is so good during the day, but going high or low overnight ruins my time in range. Having the alerts would be a game changer! I’ve done the most research around the Miao Miao, but would been keen for any of the options! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hello Tom, I've been Type 1 for nearly 45 years and the Libre Sensor was the first game changer for me and I have been using it for only 6 months and it is 100% self funded. I have seen your video about the Libre Sensor 3 but here in Australia we don't even have the Libre Sensor 2 yet. I feel that the Miao Miao 2 would be extremely beneficial to my Health Care Plan and even if I an not successful with the Competition, I think that I will still purchase one as the features of it suit my current lifestyle to a tee. Hi Tom. Very informative video. Thank you. Having had a sensor knocked off, I immediately thought the Bluecon looked too tall. I’ve had the Libre 1 since late July after 30 years of fingerpricks to relishing getting my fingertips back! Out of the other two, I’d be hard pressed to chose between them so if I was lucky enough to be a winner I’d graciously accept either. Having taken on board your advice about pasta, this is an area I still struggle with so the CGM would be an added weapon in my quest to conquer it! My mom had been a type 2 diabetic for more than 2 decades, but recently, it had been a challenge to keep her fluctuating sugar in check. Her sugar drops dangerously low sometimes in the early morning, then swings to high after eating her meals. It has been a constant struggle to manage her sugar throughout the day. Having a Freestyle Libre has changed her life, but having an alarm to alert us when the sugar goes too high or too low would definitely be a life saver. I’m a recent subscriber and I’ve enjoyed the time and research you’ve done for your videos. They’ve become an invaluable resource for me when using the Freestyle Libre. I’ve consistently had issues with my sensor falling out long before the end of the 14 day period so I was ecstatic to find your tips and videos. After seeing this video I’m on the fence about which to choose. I think I’d like to try the Miao Miao 2 (or the Miao Miao 1). My endocrinologist and I both wanted a CGM for me but alas, health insurance kicked up a fight and we dropped the issue and went with the Libre.

I had a horrible experience with Blucon. I had to send it back to their lab... it was lost on the way back. Bought MM instead and I am a happy camper. Steady and reliable. Ever since, I am recommending MM to type1 community in my country (should have requested commission for that :). Btw, I use MM1. I used Blucon first generation in the past. I do caliberate frequently. No issues with battery life or connection (i have connection issues twice a year with MM1, as oppose to at least once a week with Blucon in its fitst generation).

I couldn't say enough to praise the customer service of Bubble enough. My first Bubble died at 10: 30 one Monday night. I left a message on facebook for Bubble so they would get it first thing in the morning. Bubblan got straight back to me and really tried to help me sort the problem out...he couldn't do it. Within a week or so I had a new one. I was really impressed.

I am not looking to win anything. I will say that Ifind your video extremely useful. No nonsense and no hype about any of the 3 products. I used to use Miaomiao V1 and found it a little lacking in functionality as I had repeated connectivity issues with it. Miaomiao 2 is far better but the battery life let's it down. I got around this by buying.a powerbank from Amazon and charging the Miaomiao 2 while still.attached to my sensor. I typically get about 10 days charge from my transmitter. I must confess that while I do really like the look of the Bubble, having the charging point on the reverse side of it tends to put me off it.

You have saved my life!!! I watched your you tube video about Libre sensor placement as the adhesive on my Omnipod has brought me out in a rash. So I took your advice and tried under my arm. (I can only use my right arm for pods and sensors due to having a mastectomy and removal of lymph nodes on my left side earlier this year) I fought so hard to get a libre with my diabetic team, as I thought the libre was a CGM. So in summer I was in a car accident, and the stress from all that has affected my skin as I am now allergic to the adhesive. However, placement under my arm has worked, as my skin under there is perfect. Your you tube videos have been very helpful and I will continue to listen to them all. So, if I get selected I would love to try the Miao Miao 2 or the dark night one in fact any really Thank you for your videos

Hi, I use blucon and to attach it on free style libre I use velcro like lozenge size 20mm (tried 16mm one from velcro but was too small, 25mm works and stick strongly) It did no made the Libre to fall down and and I can do what I want, it does not fall. You can even detach the blucon from libre if you need and put it again, I am not using waterproof one, just take care when doing it.

Hello, out from what i have seen, the bluecon waterproof, might be the best option for me :) Also, i love your videos, gives a lot of information, that people can use. I'd love the Miaomiao 2. Thank you SO MUCH for this and all your videos. As a T1D of many decades, I have never been able to afford a CGM. I started eating very low carb over a year ago and have been using the Libre since it was available in the states. Tom after listening and reading many comments regarding 3rd party transmitters I would go for the MM2. After being diabetic for over 10 years with little to no control the freestyle libre has got my HBA1C down from 89 to 55 over the last 9 months. Having the continuous glucose levels at hand on my phone and watch would hopefully get me even tighter control. Thanks for all your videos and the continued information they provide.

shared, subscribed and liked. i would love to see my son get the miao miao as he is on the spectrum and has problems with going low all the time, he's been diabetic for 17 years and we've had too many visits to the hospital. he has two young daughters now and his wife and i worry so much about him because he's become desensitized to his lows. we can't afford to get this product as it's not covered by insurance. thank you for having this contest.

Hi Tom, I'm the dad of a 10 year old girl who became Type 1 diabetic in February 2020. I tried to make a nightscout account, but the guides on the net are a bit old, (even the nightscout site is not updated) and in the meantime, something has changed in the procedure. In addition, the operating system of the iphone has been updated to iOS 14; i can't even sign the apple certificate. Would you have the will to make a nightscout (and xdrip, spike etc) installation guide updated to September 2020 minimum? My daughter uses freestyle libre 1 with miaomiao2 and I have subscribed to the premium package to have monitoring when she is at school and we have apple devices in the family ( applewatch for the girl too) We managed to get an HbA1c of 6.3 and after seeing your video, my next target is 6! 👍 Thanks for all your videos, really useful. Sergio PS: Do you know if bubble has a remote monitoring service, like Tomato- miaomiao?

Hey Sergio! I bet you may have already been told this but as a student nurse who has been type 1 for over 30 years just a friendly reminder. As good as these monitoring systems like libre are your kid should also keep training for the old school blood glucose monitoring because anything can happen with the tech. Being able to double check the libre result and to be able to monitor blood glucose if the sensor fails are skills that should be well in order. Especially when you parents are not around. The sensor is also taking it's reading from the extracellular fluid in which the changes are trailing the blood glucose level about 10-15 minutes which means it might be too slow in a case of sudden blood glucose drop and a traditional blood test is in order. So even the alert might be too late in some case so knowing how you feel and acting accordingly is in order for any diabetic. HbA1c 6.3 mmol/mol is already pretty damn good for a kid that age and you are doing really good job. No need to push it too hard and it is good to give your kid as much autonomy in dealing with her own condition as early as possible. Good luck to you all and welcome to the Type-1 family! @@Aquelll Hi Akwell, first of all thank you for your comment and sorry for replying so late. Your thought is the same as ours and also that of the doctor who is treating my daughter. She wanted that before using the technology, she learned how to do things manually, such as injections and also how to recognize hypo cases. Only later she used the sensor and now the child is thinking to putting on the insulin pump, just to have the possibility to correct the hyper with fractions of 5/100 units of insulin. But I would like to ask you just for clarification: why do you say we should not push too hard to try to get even lower Hba1c? Wouldn't it be even better, if the child is agree, to have the omnipod, to improve Hba1c? Thank you so much for your availability and I will certainly take advantage of your kindness to ask you more questions about diabetes. What I meant by not pushing too hard that sometimes parents tend to start micromanaging their childrens diabetes all the time with constant non-stop supervision stressing themselves and the child out. I mean that don't stress if the results are not always perfect. Of course lower HbA1c is always better but if it is not always perfect don't stress it too much. Especially with growing children the treatment needs constant readjusting when they are growing and even more when the hormones kick in at puberty. Meaning try to aim for good results but if they are not always so don't stress yourself and your child out. That is what I meant by it. Especially now that it is a new thing for the family there is a shitton of new info and it is easy to start overly stressing about it all. 😊

@@TypeOneTalks I have had Type 2 for 25 years and don't know any hacks. I have the Libre 14 Day and my meter is always low by about 30 points. I'd love to be able to use the Miao Miao 2 to calibrate it and have it wake me and my wife. One morning recently, she work up to my groaning. She couldn't wake me up and had to call the paramedics. They gave me glucose and I recovered nicely. What a wakeup call!!

When I first tried MiaoMiao 2, it (or something else) killed my Libre sensor a week after application. As I was experimenting with this new device I had continued scanning my Libre regularly to compare numbers with the MiaoMiao and I wonder if that is what caused my Libre to expire so quickly. Since then I have only scanned the Libre minimally when using the MM2 and everything has been fine. I do find sometimes the MM2 can come unstuck from my skin and I have to tape it on to keep it attached. Last week while out shopping the MM2 and Libre completely lost its anchor after 2 days (it hurt a little too!) and stopped sending info to my phone so I had to remove them and replace the Libre sensor. Apart from these incidents I’m really impressed with both devices. I just have to get a grip on how to use them effectively. Tom, thx again for yet another excellent video x

I hope this is just what the Mama ordered. 81 years young I suffer when ever I saw her poke to draw blood so I helped her which I suffer twice as much when I did it for her. The free style was a god send but aways 120-200 units off. Were trying some of the location you suggested so far better results. Should we win the contest we would like a Bubble type. The reason is it looks like the only one thar doesn't cover the hole at the center of the Free Style sensor. You mention in a previous that this hole should not be instructed. Good advice so far. It seems the response is not as easy as I thought. I am not 100% sure but if the information I collected is correct MM1 works with Libre 2 if you use the Tomato app except for the US. I'd kindly ask others to correct me if I am wrong as I have this info second hand and did not test MM1 myself yet... Thank you!
