THANK YOU for posting this. I'm a gal with curly hair and your safety tips probably just kept it from getting any curlier via electrocution. I also had no idea what the vent tubing was for... apparently neither did the previous owner, because the tubes weren't attached. They are now. :)

First time watching this channel, and I must say.. The camera guys game is on point, considering this was a start to finish with no scene cuts. Nice vid, got a subscription from me!

Hi again Pete, had to replace my battery and got the taller one...just to add, the size of the replacement J Hook is an 8 inch hook for the battery hold down clamp, easily available at any auto parts store... the 6 inch stock one is too short.... Cheers!

Nice video. I am going to change the battery in the wife's 97 type m. It was hard for me to see back in there where the attachment was. Great advice on the upgrade battery. BTW I am digging the Oris. Very nice watch. Be careful not to ding it up working on your cars

Why do you start with the live terminal - the advice I have always been given by experts is start with the black and finish with the black?
@karlray2297 жыл бұрын
Because the negative terminal was in the back and hard to reach. Also you are risking hitting the positive terminal by accident

Thanks for the post. Have you a recommendation for a 2004 MX-5? I’ve had good luck with Mazda dealership batteries in my other Mazda’s, and I’d prefer to stay with a vented style. I see you too are a BC resident, so I shouldn’t have to travel far to seek your recommendation. Fine looking Oris diver by the way…

There is a larger, cheaper and more powerful battery option. The group size is 58R. It’s a shallow battery that fits the NB battery well nicely.

Just curious, why do we all choose 51R group size?

I'm having issues with my battery losing its charge, I've changer the altinator and I have a new battery. There is something I saw in this video and thats the ground cable has a little attachment right behind the battery on a metal bar. I'm missing that ground attachment. I did a little rigging bit i think that's causing my issues or my battery to drain. Help 😐great video. My Miata is a 1990

You should disconnect negative first before the plosives terminal

Which brand of socket wrench did you use? I am not that knowledgeable with cars. I see you said it is a 10mm. Can you give a link to a suitable wrench? Thanks.

I zapped myself trying to tighten the screw on positive terminal. Does that cause any damage to the computer?
