MIB2 Seat Navi Plus firmware free update (with download links)

#Firmware update tutorial for #Seat and Cupra vehicles with Navi Plus #MIB2 systems. Check your current version, download update package, prepare SD card, trigger the firmware update procedure, wait for the installation to complete and the infotainment system to reboot, and confirm that the newest and latest firmware is not in your car.
🚗 Vehicle in this video is Cupra Ateca which started with SW Train MHI2_EU_SEG11_P4705. After the firmware update, infotainment unit is running the latest versions which is MHI2_EU_SEG11_P4709. There's no new features. Update contains bug fixes and support for newer optional equipment. The same update file and procedure applies to other Seat vehicles with Seat Navi Plus (MIB2 High) system: Ateca, Ibiza, Leon, Tarraco.
⚠️ Make sure your cars battery is in good shape, use external power source, or turn the engine on for the update process to make sure that voltage drops will not interrupt firmware update.
⚠️ Make sure that your touch display is working correctly. At the end of the update procedure it is required to press the BACK button in upper-right corner. There's no way to skip it without working touch surface.
⚠️ Warning! You are doing it at your own risk! This procedure can overwrite your custom modifications, if you had some in your system already (CP-OFF patch, SWaP patch, custom skins, Toolbox, Personal POI). Also developer mode (green engineering menu) will be disabled and will require reenabling.

User/password: guest/guest.
Navigate to MQB_Solution directory and select your type of unit, brand, region, and firmware version that you want to install.
🛠 Procedure
1. Enter hidden menu and check your current SW train.
2. Find and download latest supported firmware update for your unit.
3. Use 16GB or larger SD card, format it with FAT32 file system with the smallest allocation size available.
4. Extract and move firmware update files to the root directory of the SD card. metainfo2.txt file needs to be directly in the top directory of SD card.
5. Remove SD cards from the main unit and insert update SD into SD1 port.
6. Press and hold MENU button for 3 seconds, select "Software update/versions", "Update", "SD card", select firmware, press "Start" and "Next".
7. Wait patiently. Main unit will reboot about 3 times before the new firmware is installed.
8. When the installation is complete you can press the arrow in the upper-right corner, "Cancel". Unit will reboot one final time.
9. Press and hold MENU button to confirm that the unit is running new firmware version now.
10. Use scan tool like OBDeleven or VCDS to clear the B201A fault code according to this tutorial: • Fix SVM code B201A - C...
ℹ️ Every performed update procedure will cause an SVM fault code to be stored in 5F module. This fault does not effect the system. It's just an indication that update was performed. You can clear the code with OBDeleven or VCDS after entering confirmation code.

Hi mr-fix, I have a SEAT ATECA 2017. I installed the MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0369T update from the original 363T version. I then uploaded the SE_ZR_P0369T_FEC_ALL_CID_OFF_SPORT_FIXED patch. Everything is ok, but the front USB ports do not work. Any idea how to solve? Thank you

I swear I read online upgrading these SW train levels e.g. 300 to 500 isn't advised and can brick the device, you should only update to your SW train level i.e. 300 to 390. Unless it's different and I'm wrong :D would love to know as I'm on an old 300 version

You are partially right. First of all, MHI2 units don’t have series of firmware. You can go from lowest to highest version. MST2 have series (01xx, 02xx, 03xx, 04xx, 05xx for Technisat; 02xx, 06xx, 08xx for Delphi) but without system patching it’s impossible to upgrade outside the series. Update will not be seen as valid. But with some modification it’s possible to force the unit to accept different series firmware (for example to convert 02xx to 04xx on Technisat). Some conversions are not recommended (example 01xx to anything higher) since some old units can have less RAM and or smaller eMMC which can cause system crash.

Unfortunately my upgrade did not go smoothly. I was updating a Cupra Ateca with MHI2_ER_SEG11_P4708 to the P4709 firmware. All went perfectly per the video, however all the functionality for the unit was lost (only radio works), when checking the service menu, the unit does not display and supported or installed codes. Any potential work around?

Ok so I tried this with my MHI2_ER_SKG11_P2104_1 and had the 'MOST not available error', the update backed out but has now become stuck in a radio-only situation and I cannot enter the developer menu to retry a FW update or to install M.I.B. In my experience: touch issues are not software related. It's just a failing hardware that will eventually stop working.

Hi, On my 16' Leon Xperience I started an update this afternoon from mhi2_er_seg11_s2105 (0319) to MHI2_ER_SEG11_P4709_1_AIO_MU1447_20230318. During installation, only Gracenote update failed. 20 minutes later, mhi2 reboot and Seat Xperience logo appears on screen. But 3 hours later... No changes, always Seat Xperience logo  Should I wait ? Edit: 6 hours now... Nothing change 😢 Edit 2: I removed the key and lock the car... The screen stays on with Seat Xperience logo 😱 I plugged a battery charger for the night... And I pray 😥 Edit 3: It's working !!! I just removed radio fuse, wait 15s and put it. The installation has continued and I fix B201A fault code... I just wait 6 hours like that 😢

MIB main unit is not related with immobilizer. Check if you drained your battery by any chance.

Cześć, zrobiłem aktualizację firmware w Seat Ateca z 2017 roku do wersji MHI2_ER_SEG11_P4709 i poszło bez problemu. Chciałem pójść dalej i zaktualizować sobie mapy, bo teraz mapcare mnie blokuje ale po aktualizacji nie mogą właczyć Green Menu. Przed aktualizacją uruchomiłem je bez problemu ale po aktualizacji nie przyjmuje mi kodu 20103 ani S12345 do Dostępu upoważnionego - pracuję na VCDS v. 20.04 ale próbowałem też na starszej wersji. Możecie coś doradzić tak uruchomić Green Menu

Niestety teraz mam urwanie głowy w pracy przed urlopem a potem sam urlop. Poczytam jeszcze o tym AIO w międzyczasie i spróbuję wrócić do tematu po urlopie. Swoją drogą gratuluję zacięcia w tworzeniu filmików, dobra robota.

@@mrfixpl A jeszcze takie pytanie: czy wgranie softu AIO jest odwracalne, tzn., czy gdybym zmienił zdanie to będę mógł zwyczajnie wgrać ten obecny producenta (P) i później ewentualnie kolejne, czy może obowiązują jakieś reguły, że np. mogę wgrywać tylko nowsze czy do tyłu też można? Mr.Fix to confirm but I believe you must stay within the same P level. So for train 245 it is safe to update to 253 e.g. But not to go to p479.!

In MST2 trains: unit will not let you install firmware outside of the series. So for example 0245 firmware is in the 02xx series, unit will not allow 03xx or 04xx or 05xx firmware installation. It's doable but it requires patching and custom installation files.
