Helpful video. I managed to update my maps but am worried that updating the firmware will cause faults as I also don't have OBD tool. What type of OBD scanning tool did you use?

Hi! Yes, that is a nice one! And I think you can do such things BUT you need something like OBDEleven, Carly, VCDS or similar. Y Took a note and for sure I will come back to this! Thanks a lot for your suggestion!

Interesting video, thanks. Was going to update the firmware (currently exact same version you updated) but I don't have an OBDeleven system so wouldn't be able to clear the fault 🤔

Hey! No worries. The fault came back. There is nothing wrong with that, except that the system labels the update as "suspicious" because it cannot verify it officially somehow. car runs perfectly and infotainment too. Good luck if you finally decided to proceed!

What about External amplifier (Bose, Bang&Olufsen) might need dataset after update firmware? Do you have any trouble with sound , if you have bang olufsen sound system??

No trouble with sound so far but you are correct, specific datasets for these amplifiers might be needed in some cases.

On my Seat Arona, the Apple Car Play once showed up, and then disappeared again. Do you think it can be solved by firmware update or I should try to get official help ? The possible reasons of Apple Car play showing up could be that I visited Czech Republic for a day , while I live in Germany. For now, I have to use just Android Auto because Car Play does not appear.

Hey! This is a really interesting case, to be honest. Android Auto working but CarPlay not. As fas as I understand they all come within the same software package. A way to proceed that I have in mind for you is to press the menu button for a few seconds (like in the video) and once in the Service Mode, click on the Function enabling Codes. There you should see the Apple Car Play/Mirror Link/Android Auto package and should also tell about status (something like Valid/Not valid/Not accepted). If SWaP, FEC code is OK, then verify that your iPhone has CarPlay enabled (Siri must be enabled for that). And if these to are OK, then I would ultimately take the car to the dealer for further diagnosis. Good luck and let us know what the outcome is! You might be helping someone else in the future!

@@javitobosch Hi, I saw another video about VW where he told to factory reset, so I found the option to factory reset Full Link and now it works. In his case it was App-connect, in my case I had to factory reset Full Link

We need someone to patch those HW50 (SW train 05xxT) units, so greenscreen toolbox would work. Even single video with emmc reading would be good. Or at least USB2HSD cable method, but with detailed steps how to do it.

Can you help, after radio update I'm missing all radio station logos, non of them I can't find even if I hold the icon like you did on video...

Hello! I remember I did not have any radio station logo at all since I purchased my car and my dad with a 2015 Seat Leon had all of them. Quite annoying. I would suggest you to update the Radio Data Base (RDB). All steps are in the video =). Let me know if it helps

Exactly after rdb update I missing all logo's, before update I had it all

@@javitobosch well after update like you did in video, I turned on radio, and there is no logo on any of stations, I tried everything and didn't manage to get it back, even inspected folders that I downloaded and there is also no any logo inside. After all, I downloaded just pictures from some of radio station and do it manually, but still no success with automatic logo picture...

Hi! I think this specific update took no more than 15 minutes. However, I would recommend you to place a good battery first or use an external power source to power the car. No one wants to deal with a jammed infotainment system. Good luck!

I have only 8 colours for the ambient light in the doors. I spoke to some people and they said I need to update bcm you thin this will do it?

Hey! What does "bcm" stands for? Honestly, I know that it can be done via OBDEleven. I remember adding quite a big range of colors.

@@javitobosch Yeah, the page fully works, but the issue that i have is that my station has the MHI2_ER_SEG11_P3315 version, and now i found on the page that is another version MHI2_ER_SEG11_P4704_MU1308.7z. I dont know if it is the correct one, but is the only one wich is available as i can see... I downloaded it on an USB, connected to the car and it dont allow me to update the firmware. I think the car dont read nothing on the USB. (The USB wich i used is an new Kingston, i just used it only for this oporation).

Hello again! Can you provide me with a bit more information? What kind of message does the unit display? Why's is it not able to update? Are you looking for the right firmware?

@@javitobosch I updated with the Firmware from mibsolution from MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0359T to MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0369T and now I want to Update to 479. But my display always shows dependencies of update not met. But its the right Update for my car... dont know why it worked with 369 but not wuth 479

@@javitobosch nope, 369T. But in the meantime I have the answer... its not possible to do an official upgrade from 3XX to 4XX or 5XX...

@@fritz3039 I was not aware of that. I actually just checked my car and you are right. It came form the factory with 514T (now 516T). The question that I have is why upgrading is not possible if you literally have the same HW as mine? Thanks for sharing!
