"It's been a great journey," Burnette said. "I try to use myself as example of what hard work is and what it looks like. I came to NC State from Warner Robins, Ga. as an undersized linebacker and it was the best decision I ever made. I think the key to my success is that my faith's the most important thing to me. With my faith is just being an authentic person. I don't try to be anyone but myself. In our profession, people try to have a certain stigma about strength coaches or who they should be. I've always been a firm believer in who I am -- and a lot of that has to do with my family."
