Hey bro, great content, may I ask you, what's the difference between the Samson go mic and the Samson go mic titanium black, do you think it's just the color, thanks for your help...
@HomeStudioBasics2 жыл бұрын
I believe it's just color but don't quote me on that. I had the silver version. Thank you for the love!

Hey guys! Upon listening some more, I'm just going to rate these mics in order of preference sound wise from most desirable to least. I kind of changed my mind a little after I recorded the video, but I still think the Tonor sounds very good and provides great value. It also doesn't pick up much noise at all. *Blue Yeti* Yes, it picks up some background noise, but you can always clean this up in post. It just sounds the cleanest out of these. Also, I will likely be using one with a scissor arm in the future when I migrate to the studio and start recording in there. *Samson Meteor* This is clearly right behind the Yeti in terms of sound quality, and sounds pretty awesome. Does pick up a bit of noise, but I can deal. I think out of all of these, it strikes that perfect balance between radio broadcast warmth and detail. *Tonor TC-777/Go Mic* Tied for 3rd. For only $30, the Tonor not picking up hardly any background noise at all is fairly exemplary. I also like it's scruffier tone, but do keep in mind the recordings did vary a bit and weren't as consistent as I'd like (the first one being clearly the best). The Go Mic is almost as good as a Meteor, but a bit less clean and refined sounding. *Blue Snowball* A pretty crappy mic. I actually may have gotten a lemon though. The one you hear in the demo I bought used off of eBay for very cheap, so it may have actually had a defect that I wasn't made aware of. I don't know for sure as I haven't ever owned a new one. *Samson Meteorite* Lol. ⌚Timestamps -------------------------- Tonor vs. Snowball - 2:14 Tonor vs. Go Mic - 3:51 Tonor vs. Meteorite - 4:39 Tonor vs. Meteor - 5:22 Tonor vs. Yeti - 6:49

I got a Snowball when they came out and I still like it because I don't have anything to compare it to except for my laptop mic. It is a nice state of bliss that way. Also, it doesn't surprise me that the lower market has caught up, it's just the way things go. How them grandkids doing? Don't give up, ever.

He's the best! Me and the owner are looking for a home for him. He's technically not my cat. I was taking care of him and he meows because he's an outdoor cat and needs to be outside. I didn't really believe it when the owner told me but 5 days with Stanley will do the trick! 😂 He's still a very well behaved and respectful cat but he needs that freedom. He's been this way for his whole life (he's 8 now I believe).

The Samson Meteorite is like a smaller version of the Blue Snowball xD

I actually like the Snowball in these demos. The other mics seem to add too much bass to the audio however if that can be adjusted then maybe that can be remedied...I take that back, the toner mic sounds good and balanced...the samson sounds too bassy
@HomeStudioBasics4 жыл бұрын
Which Samson man!? And yeah, I really did enjoy the Tonor as well. I can't believe how well it rejected background noise for the price. I seriously only get that when I'm using an XLR condenser with something like a C01 or AT2020 + audio interface.
@HomeStudioBasics4 жыл бұрын
I'm also not sure if I got a good unit Snowball. Back when I bought it, I only paid $9 on ebay. I'm wondering if there was an issue with it. To me it just sounds to hollowed out and tinny.

@@HomeStudioBasics my bad, the Samson Go mic sounds a bit boomy which can be ok most of the time but tends to make some people sound mumbly. The snowball does sound a bit hollow in the low end which probably not good for content creator but sounds pretty good for communicating in games. I do like that tonor mic. What am I waiting for!!?

Hey man, nice video as usual. Good presentation. You are cool sounding. The products you review are fine for starters learning to deal with studio recordings. So for beginners it is a nice step to enter the music world. For professionals those products are not good enough. But hey everyone should start with the basics. So a great advice video for beginners. They will learn how to grow to a more quality studio. I also started with easy stuff, learning is the best people can do in my opinion. Make mistakes start easy then you will be that great artist someday. Keep on going. Music greetings from the netherlands Alex

@@HomeStudioBasics You're welcome man. Yeah it is good to hear something from you. Well, I am happy I have a real (girl) friend in my own country, I meanwhile realize most people do not have a real friend nowadays, in the past people had a real friend. Social media friends are social media friends not the ones coming to chill with you at home. Here in the newspapers is written, millions dutch people super lonely because they realize social media contact do not come for a coffee or a beer at your home.
