As a kid I adored Shearer for being such a force for our club. As an adult, I realise he is like 90% of all Geordies. Likes a tipple and has class banter. He is a proper toon legend, if not THE toon legend.

@@boxisyt thanks for the explanation! The only other Geordies that I know are Jade (and the other girl, Perrie?) from Little Mix (the girl band). Jade calls herself "Jeed" and her accent is very thick. (English is my 2nd language). I could hardly understand her. When they toured the USA, she had to tone down her accent (or her bandmates had to explain) coz the ppl couldn't understand. 😁 I could also barely get Carra when I watched his old interviews (from his younger days). 😂

As a neutral, Shearer was one of the best the EPL had ever seen, scoring goals from nearly every angle around and in the box, headers, volleys, tap-ins, and a remarkable penalty record, the complete forward. More than that he loves his club and wore the shirt with pride, through what was largely for them a transitional period. Now they've become a force again, and I'm happy for Shearer to revel in it. His punditry is great and all around he seems like a decent bloke. Good luck to NUFC and their loyal fans in EPL and UCL, look forward to (if) we meet in the KO's 🔱❤🖤
