That course is such a tease. Front nine eases you into a fairly tough round. Then the back the wind just howls right at you and there’s trouble everywhere you look haha I was +1 through 9 (8hcp) then I hit a seven iron into the middle of the water from 150 on 13 haha the wind don’t play.

I’ve been playing golf for a little over a year now. I’ve always thought guys at this level always tip it out. Anyone that’s scratch or close to it please help understand what tees should people play at? Or do you play from different tees just for fun.

I’m only 2 years in myself. The PGA of America has guidelines for what length of course (tees) to use based on your driving distance. If you drive longer than 300 yards, obviously you can play courses longer than 7,200 yards. If you drive it 275, the length of course should equate to roughly 6,800 yards. If you drive it 250, the course should be 6,300 yards. For 225, it’s 5,900 yards and for 200 it’s 5,300 yards.
