I’m a nurse practitioner and I did the Botox filler course. I thought it might be a nice little earner and I’m an experienced clinician. The biggest mistake I EVER made. It’s a one day course and I’d been a qualified nurse for more than 20 years and I have a masters in advanced practice. and I left feeling so short changed. And it’s partly my own fault. As an experienced clinician I should have known better. Guys…don’t EVER let anyone touch you who’s been on a days course. I lost 2 grand as Ive never laid a hand on a patient to do Botox or fillers..because they made out I’d be competent. And I was completely incompetent. It’s a disgrace industry.

I had botox for dystonia in my hand (after an incident with a firedoor) - locked up my thumb/forefinger & couldn't use them properly for 4mths

Botox doesn’t hurt and it doesn’t instantly freeze the muscles. It takes at least 4 days to kick in and 2 weeks before the full effects are seen. So he didn’t walk out of the salon looking as he described. It also doesn’t take 6 months to wear off. Ridiculous exaggeration and he snorted out his nose while telling it.

I had it from the hospital in 4 places to unfurl my fingers from dystonia - locked up within 48hrs & couldn't bend it again for nearly 4mths. Hasn't bent up again, but I wouldn't have it again
