Michael Brecker for me the greatest jazz tenor sax that ever was, what a lack he makes us, he left us too early as he was going to teach us so many things about music yet. Jazz Genius.

Totally agree Wilson - it was fantastic having Michael in New Zealand for 8 concerts with my big band....complete honour for the musicians and the audience. Best Rodger

He was amazing, but there others lets not forget people like Bob Mintzer and Bob Berg for example, a monster player that has sadly also left us.

You also need to check out Joe Henderson John Coltrane Stanley Turrentine there's a whole lot of great saxophonist that have left us that are not on the planet but Michael without a doubt which one of the great ones

Yep. I’m the sop player. We were mesmerised every night on tour. 5 shows I believe. He was super chill and gracious and gave it 100% every single moment on stage.

Its hard to compare any Saxophonist to another Saxophonist, but Michael Brecker would be(in my opinion) the only Saxophonist to give Chris Potter a run for his money in a duel.
