I think it would be hard for the jury not to find him guilty and, it seems clear, that Trump respected election law, Hilary Clinton would be finishing up her second term right now. If you murder someone because they stole from you then you are still guilty of murder. There's no "well I was also the victim of a crime" defense.

If anyone wants to know what this case is really about, on February 15, 2024, Judge Merchan wrote a 30 page order dealing with all the contentions of both sides and went over the five crimes (by statute number) that the prosecution claimed the false documents could have concealed. It appears to me that very few legal pundits have read this order and without having read it neither Trump supporters or Trump detractors know what this case is about. I am a retired lawyer and these lawyers owe it to the public to do a better job of explaining this case to the public.
