“There was overwhelming evidence” Or course he doesn’t say what the evidence was and he was not asked. Fact is the FEC looked at it and said there was no campaign violation and dropped the investigation. Why, because the money wasn’t paid from the campaign account. Fact is NY state can’t prosecute a federal election campaign violation. Fact is we still don’t even know what the underlying crime is. Go look at the indictment, the only crime mentioned is falsifying business records, which is long past the statute of limitations.
