Love this video. Thanks Michael. Reminds me of why I took up the clarinet in the first place and why I still love playing it so much.

If your talking about the last tiny bit at the end. don't think negative about it you will most likely screw it up think positive and it will come out no problem. just practice it slowly with variations with the rhythm

What kind of ligature and mouthpiece was he using? The ligature looked like a gold Charles Bay but, I could not read the front of the mouthpiece. Anyone? I love his sound! His bottom lip stays out a bit and it certainly, does not hinder his playing.

@adam246811 haha yeh hes a great friend of mine. mateusz or math as everyone calls him has been at vcass since year 9 i came in year 7 lol. what pieces are you doing on clarinet?
@haijyvelho9 жыл бұрын
I was at a concert he played at in Finland. He's great at what he does. Unfortunately someone had to bring their small noisy children to the concert... They played Mozart's Clarinet concerto and Beethoven's 3rd symphony 'Eroica'. Otherwise it was great but there's something about his clarinet's sound that I don't like. The parts where he played very low sounded great though.

@adam246811 i think i heard math mention that. um u have ur hands full lol. well for solo performance exam i did mozart 4th church sonata, bernstein sonata mvt 1, hindemith sonata 4th mvt, harvey's i got rhythm and weber concerto 1 mvt 1. all fun pieces but were not really a challenge. i did all of poulenc last year which has to be my favourite piece ever. I'm going to do at uni next year brahms, debussy and maybe weber 2 concerto

@adam246811 ok sure. um personally to me i dislike the arnold sonatina for some reason. it just sounds funny lol. don't ask me why. i just started learning the Paganini caprice no 24 for next year and am learning both the saint saens sonata and my teacher said i can start looking at the debussy premier rhapsody too (yay)
