Everybody's loving Michael English...and he's the only one ive never liked as a singer.The guy sounds and looks like he's gonna die with every note.If you think that's what an ideal quartet man is or sounds like then you knpw nothing about it. Mention Mark Lowry,Marshall Hall,Wes Hampton,etc...they're very good singers...and then Guy Penrod and David Phelp...they're GREAT singers... But Michael English isn't...my throat hurts just watching/listening to him

I'm searching for chords and lyrics on this song-still no success ( I can find lyrics only). I sang this song with a choir, but don't have access to the book anymore. Does anyone know if this song is "Public Domain"? I have a 4-CD George Jones Greatest hits with this song on it, but the CD set didn't come with song credits. The original George Jones album came out in 1959 and was called "Country Time Church". Apparently the George Jones version is not available on KZbin. Does anyone know how old this song is and who the author is?
