I’ve noticed something with a lot of criminals is that they can’t hold on to a regular job. Getting up early and doing a 9 to 5 is just too difficult for them to handle, turning to selling drugs, gangbanging, extortion, theft or whatever crime they’re involved with is way more easy for them to do. It’s why Sammy the bull went to running an ecstasy drug ring when he was in witness protection. It’s impossible for them to live a normal life, the street life is all they know.

It turns out that Bulger spent a lot of time on Grand Isle Louisiana. I talked to a guy once that said Whitey was his neighbor. He didn't know it at the time, but after Bulger was caught he admitted to his time down there and the FBI interviewed him as did a few news organizations. I only live a bit from that area. It would be a great place to hide. People don't really ask questions in the South Louisiana Bayou country. Grand Isle is literally the end of the road. The main road going south stops at the Gulf like in Key West. The Fishing is real good down there too, but my buddy said that old Whitey didn't do much fishing. He was more about laying low.

Whitey Bulger should have been sent to the ADX Supermax Federal Prison in Florence, Colorado. He'd still be alive today if he was sent there. He was on the FBI's Most Wanted list right under Osama Bin Laden, he should have been sent there. That would have been the perfect punishment for Whitey Bulger. The guys that killed him made it quick and painless for him. And even they knew at some point in time that death was too good for that whack job. I'm not saying he didn't deserve to get killed, I'm saying that the guys who killed him gave Whitey the satisfaction he did not deserve.
