It makes sense that Persico would choose Michael to be acting boss since he was Sonny Franzeses son and also Michael was loyal to Persico and also netted him millions through the gas business. So I can actually see that being true. Persico couldn't make Allie boy boss because he was serving a longer sentence.

thats crazy i use to work at jfk with my friends in air freight trucking and use to hang out at blndng 80 and michael persico and john orena were partners in trucking company kent air freight the sons were good friends at that time. also john orena owned another warehouse on rockaway ave jfk management i use to hang out there also. those were the days.

Franzese wasn't made until 1978. He says in his book the underboss position was vacant and Johnny Irish and Andy Russo were captains when he was made. Abbatematco held underboss until 77. Russo wasn't made until 77 so October 78 is when he was inducted. Don't know why he gets the date mixed up.

But know , Made men don't get made on same day like that. No one truly knows when the blessing come dwn. I truly dont believe that part. Maybe same year, but same day. . hard pill to swallow.
