Vlad lacks something I haven’t quite put my finger on. He’s quoting the narrative of people who were not their family and closest friends. There’s a member of Menudo that claims he was SA’d by their father in their home. The spoiled brat narrative that denies they were abused at all, is a horrible opinion to have while their WHOLE family (siblings of their parents, and their own cousins) ALL SAY THEY WERE ABUSED. You can’t judge why a teen who had just killed his parents didn’t mention the molestation, and for Vlad to be laughing in his arrogant opinion about something that isn’t a laughing matter whether they’re guilty or innocent …is disgusting.

Many victims of oppression and abuse committed premeditated murder to stop the abuse. You don’t know what you would do if your dad was sexually abusing from a young age to the point that as you were ready to go to college and wanted to move away, he wouldn’t let you, so he could continue to fk you. That’s all I’m saying ….Vlad and the majority of us have no clue what we’d do to judge how an 18 year old and his brother would get him out of that situation. They still loved their father, but they feared him, and didn’t want to be penetrated anymore. Vlad’s content was good for the fact that he interviewed legends of our culture who gave him stories we had not heard before. Over the years, Vlad has shown the culture his ass (more than a few times) while he mixes up a lot of nonsense with the reason we subscribed in the first place. When our cultural icons stop showing up to share the stories and perspectives we like, then we’ll stop showing up. FACT: Vlad DID push a horrible narrative w/o even knowing the Mendez brothers, and w/o knowing what it’s like to be SA’d by a parent of the same sex, as if it couldn’t be true that a teenager who killed his parents couldn’t possibly confess to the murder w/o mentioning his sexual abuse to a therapist. Suggesting, “if you don’t like it then leave,” was a solution in the place of child that suffered abuse to the extent of what they claimed. Apparently, he didn’t confess that “for the money” motive to the therapist at all, or that would be the cause to refute their claims of abuse, but that’s not what happened, so Vlad’s spoiled brat narrative denying their abuse and saying that they killed their parents for money, just shows he’s an arrogant asshole with self serving opinions of people he has no connection to. How do you deny their claims of abuse, when there’s not a person in their family that agrees with you? …and trynna gaslight the man he’s interviewing, who knows them personally and believes them based on his own judgment of character? Vlad’s a clown. And you’re a clown for trolling people to defend some clown shit.

@ It wasn’t always like this. He didn’t grow to become this popular on haters. I used to love a lot of his interviews. I’ve watched his platform for over 5 years Maybe more than 10. The negative comments are usually NOT without a reasonable cause. Had you made your point on a good example for what you’re claiming, I might agree that ppl just be hating/trolling, but the comment you targeted is actually well founded. I felt the same way watching this interview., and only came across it looking for something to watch. I didn’t open KZbin on a mission to hate Vlad. He’s been getting more careless and unprofessional as time goes on…as long as his money doesn’t dip, he’ll sell out and disrespect the culture with the same level of unapologetic arrogance that his audience finds insensitive or offensive, but you have words for those who express hate for that type of behavior. I appreciate that you took the time to express your train of thought, but It doesn’t make sense. Even abused kids love their parents. They were straight kids getting laid by their dad. SA was so normal to them the older one said he took the younger one into the woods and did it to him, but he grew out of it and didn’t know his little brother was still being SA’d and wanted it to stop, but was afraid of his dad, just like Michael F says in the interview. Their whole family believes them, multiple inmates/friends speak well of their character and believe them, Vlad’s aware of the information that validates their claims as plausible, yet he argues against someone who knows them personally about what he believes them to be , when he’s never even met them, and just ignorant - as if he knows all too well the psychology of what male children in their position should have done, said, or felt in a situation most of us have absolutely nothing in our own lives to relate to what they went through…..HOW CAN HE BE SO JUDGMENTAL TO PUSH THAT NARRATIVE OF SOMEONE HE DOESN’T EVEN KNOW? …is the “negative” comment you were mad at. ..but do you understand now? The hateful comments towards his behavior is warranted.

Vlad Erik didn’t want to tell his therapist because the dad told the therapist he was to report everything to him. The dad threatened each of them he would kill them if the said a word about the abuse. Erik wanted to go to college away from the family home to get away from his dad. His dad then told him he had to go to a local college and live at home. Erik was devastated because he wanted to get away. Erik couldn’t take it anymore and finally told Lyle his dad was still abusing him. Lyle confronted the dad. The dad was livid and threatened both of their lives. I never comment but felt like you should have done your research before ranting at Michael asking questions about the Menendez brothers. Michael is a stand up guy. That was very unprofessional of you. That being said, I enjoy other shows of yours.

Pertaining to the Menendez Brothers, Vlad you just swear you have all the answers to everything when in all actuality you have no idea because you weren’t in their position nor understand their mindset at the time, none of us do , therefore you should be mindful of that before you make assumptions followed by statements pertaining to what they should have done in their situation. I came here for Michael and to hear about his experience with Lyle. This interviewer did nothing but talk shit about shit. He obviously never watched the Menendez trial and probably got his info from the Netflix Monsters series instead of watching the original 1st trial which is when Michael was next to Lyle in the LA jail. Michael has patience and class to sit there and let Vlad ramble on.
