Rudy's comments in that clip are so off. Michael was literally on track to being pre-med. "Didn't have a good up bringing" What's bad about a loving father who attends baseball games, makes sure you're doing well in school, loves you, etc.? Same thing with what Sammy said. Sammy's upbringing was great. Solid parents who wanted the best for him. They chose that route because of different things, but it didn't have anything to do with their upbringing. If he mentioned their environment, sure, that's different. But definitely not their upbringing.

Yb you hit it right on the nose. John betraying you is a joke, the man died like a man. Took his like a man ten toes down. Just say the truth, that you couldn’t do time. So you go and hurt John & Frank and bunch of other people that didn’t do anything to you. You did a lot of testifying. Destroyed a lot of families. In the end you got what was coming to you, 17 years inside protective custody units and ADX. That’s karma.

Nah Ive read about the story before and I heard Sammy tell it twice. He did say that for a moment, when they first got Keys, he pulled that "hey I got money.." honestly who wouldn't try that? The will to survive is innate in all of us and I personally think maybe stronger in those whove been closest to those who've been around the loss of it a lot. Soldiers, Dr's, EMT's Hitmen, etc. Once he realized Sammy was for real he owned and was more or less in the "Lets do it" category. But no whimpering, begging or complaining. He died a man.
