His vocal teacher admitted that MJ had a deep baritone voice. He felt better (safer if you ask me) when he was talking/singing in a higher voice. Regardless, he has probably the most controlled voice I've ever heard and a 4 octaves range. Phenomenon!

Dam Is so hot! I believe his voice also was influenced by a lot of reasons. But he definetly was more fre exploring his potential. Shit industry killed thos man. His hole life was dedicated to this industry, nobody could help him in the end. He was the king.

@@QueenNPC lots of people feel the same way. The fanboys are of course insisting this is his original voice & "MJ would never do such a thing as pitch shift!!!!!" but it's a well known technique & he used it often, also in the BAD album several tracks were shifted upwards to make them more punchy & fit on vinyl.

@@NomadFlow Yes, Michael spoke in a higher pitch in his personal life than how he would in public, as do most people. However, the vocal in this song is pitched down. When you pitch vocals up or down they leave audible artefacts as you're pitching every single harmonic, which isn't how the human voice operates when singing lower. The artefacts from such a process are present in this song.

I was 13 at the time, even now, at 45, I remember that day like it was yesterday. I come from a big family (8 siblings), my parents worked all hours to raise us, yet we still had very little. My mum didn't tell us we were going. It wasn't until we got there, did we realise what was happening. She even bought 2 merch t-shirts and although we had to share them between each other (siblings), we were so happy to do that. We had nothing as kids..... Yet that day.... We had everything we could've wished for. ❤ I'm thankful I got to see such a Legand! A legend that this world will never experience again and a legend that will never be forgotten. ❤
