It was abundantly clear when the Jackson 5 started that Michael was special. He outshone his brothers in every aspect. You can see it and hear it in their very early performances, he was just better and over the years the gap between him and the fam just got wider. The only one that could hang was Janet when she joined the act. It is why he went solo.

He was the truly gifted one, could steal the show even from adults even as a young kid. People called him a 40-yr old midget Lpl. Basically performing from the womb, w/ no formal training really

The Jacksons started with just MJ big brothers,he begged his father to let him be apart of the group but his dad didn't know he can sing .At 8 yrs old he sung in a school talent show and won, that's when his father realized how great he was as a singer and made MJ the lead singer in the group with his brothers which made them Jackson 5.React to MJ singing Ben and ABC with his brothers as a kid.

Okay, gotta tell you all something! This is the greatest Grammy performance of all time, you can see it! You can feel it! What you don't know is this: 1. The tall slim girl singing backups on the right hand side of stage is Siedah Garrett. She wrote the song. Michael Jackson heard the song and was so impacted by it that he knew he wanted to record it. But Michael wanted it to have a gospel sound and flavor. So Michael went to his friend, the AMAZING LEGEND of gospel music Andrae Crouch. ANDRAE "IS" MUSIC. Andrae Crouch's father laid hands on him and prayed for him when he was like 12 years old, and GOD opened his ears up and he could hear all kinds of heavenly music, no training, nothing. By the time Andrae was 14 he had written his first song, "The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power", and he wrote probably 1000's of songs and impacted the world. Andrae and Michael had a great friendship, Andrae looked at Michael like his son, Michael looked to Andrae and his sister Sondra like parent figures. Michael knew Andrae could give "Man In The Mirror" the SPIRIT and SOUND it needed. Andrae arranged it all, that's Andrae's choir, and that's Andrae Crouch who is the male backup singer on the left side of the stage. Andrae is the one who walked out to Michael when Michael went down on his knees and didn't get up at first. Andrae said that during practice Michael would put himself into the music and the performance so much that sometimes he would collapse, like needed electrolytes or something. So when Michael went down on the stage there, Andrae didn't know if Michael had collapsed again, so he went out to check on him. Then Michael got up so Andrae knew he was ok. THE MAN BEHIND THAT AMAZING SONG IS REALLY ANDRAE CROUCH, AND THAT'S WHO MICHAEL KNEW HE WANTED TO PULL THE WHOLE THING TOGETHER. And Michael really was amazing!! Not downing him! But the message behind that song is amazing, and the power behind it really comes from the anointing upon it through Andrae and his crew. Take them away, it would still be a great song, but they put the dynamite to it. Over the top. Everyone that night was blown away, NO ONE could believe it, that's all EVERYONE was talking about for weeks after. Also, here's another story about that: during their practice sessions, Andrae would lead everyone in prayer, etc. One time practicing the song, all the choir became so overcome by the words of the song. They started weeping and crying, crawling on the floor, repenting of their sins. Andrae, being a pastor, knew what to do. He had an altar call and had everyone pray and fall on their face before God, just crying out and weeping and "making that change" in their lives, whatever they felt they needed to do. Andrae said he looked at Michael, who had never experienced anything like that before. He said Michael had his hands lifted straight up in the air and tears were pouring down his face, and he was shaking and weeping and like he was charged with electricity. That's the Pentecostal Holy Ghost working! So after all that was over, Michael told Andrae, "I've never felt anything like that before, what was that power I felt?" Andrae Crouch told him it was the anointing of the Holy Ghost, the power of God, and told him how God had sent Jesus to us all so we could be saved, and offers the Holy Ghost to give us the power to overcome sin, etc. etc. THAT'S THE POWER THAT MICHAEL FELT DURING PRACTICE SESSIONS! That whole song was bathed in the anointing of real people of God - that's what Michael experienced by his friendship with Andrae Crouch. Look it up, you'll find articles about it! Look up Andrae Crouch, a God-sent legend of legends, who impacted the church and the world eternally. Before Michael died, he visited Andrae and his sister Sondra, and Michael gave them a CD of some of Michael's unreleased music. Michael said, "Andrae, I want you to have this, you're the only one I trust with it." They prayed together and sang some songs around the piano. Read about it, you'll learn so much, you see how great music was in the 1980's, I love your reactions!!!!!

As far as the allegations against him, they were false. Michael was innocent on all false charges thrown at him. They used him and falsely accused him just to take his money. Michael was a phenomenal man and he didn't mind speaking up and that's what the media hated. He was a soft-spoken, humble individual and all he wanted was love and unity for the world. If I remember correctly, Micheal's brothers were already a group, and one of them was already the main vocalist. MJ's mom heard him sing in the house one day (when he was still really really young) and the dad decided to make him the main singer. That's how the Jackson 5 started with MJ as the star. As they were getting more and more famous, the dad was putting more and more pressure on them (according to Micheal). They were often mentally, emotionally, and physically abused (according to Micheal). They became the best, but so much of them has been damaged! There is a very sad story behind MJ's success...
