46 year-old Jackson heard the words "not guilty" uttered 14 times in a deathly still courtroom in Santa Maria, California.
The 'Peter Pan of pop music' could have been sentenced to nearly 20 years behind bars if convicted of charges that he molested a 13 year-old cancer survivor at Neverland in 2003.
Jubilant fans outside the courthouse jumped up and down, thrust their fists in the air, hugged each other and threw confetti as the verdicts were read out.
A woman in the crowd released one white dove as each acquittal was announced.
News of the verdict was broadcast worldwide, triggering celebrations among Jackson's legion of fans across the globe.

I remember this day clearly. I had just gotten home from school and was trying to watch my cartoons when a breaking news flash interrupted my program to announce Michael Jackson had been acquitted. I didn't realize it at the time, but justice was served that day.

Similar for me, I gotten home late from high school due to Student Council Meeting, when I got off the bus, my dad was waiting for me telling the verdict was reached, I went to the basement to CourtTV, later I prayed to God believing the verdict will be a miracle, before the verdict was read, the satellite signal went down, possibly CourtTV signal, later I asked my mom while she's on the phone and she told me "Not Gulity on all counts", I was happy. Best news I've heard in my life. I'll never forget that day. And yet later a few other students didn't even bother with the truth still being stupid believing more bull$#!^ lies which angers me.

Also, there was a daily lottery held for the public to go into the courtroom, and they called my friend's number, who happened to be an attorney and only went there to give me an extra chance at winning the daily lottery. They called her number and she handed the ticket to me. I was in there the day the stewardess testified and it was CLEAR to me that day alone that the mother was a litigious money hungry horrible person who sent her son there for one reason only ... to frame him. .. she had been enjoying MJ's money and having spa days and shopping sprees, in exchange for playing the hard-luck mother. The kid ran rampant and wild in the plane completely out of control and they came off as total users. That's why they lost the case. They totally made up the charges.
