True! I think he would adapt his fighting style to music. Like he’d be in a cantina and change up with the bands flow. I was there for opening day to watch this. I hugged Michael Jackson that day. Here is how that happened... I was born and raised in Daytona Beach we always had season tickets. When we got there, Micky Mouse was out front hugging the kids, and I always would hug Micky. We stayed all day till the fire works at night. We watched this movie, and in the theater, there were seats that would shake and smoke that would film the theater 🎥 the sound was wild, and the wind would blow. This was all interactive with the scenes of the movie. At the end of the night, like I said when the fireworks were about to go. We heard in the announcement that Michael Jackson was there all day to see how much people were enjoying his movie release in Disney. Then they told all of us that he was in the Micky Mouse custom all day. So yeah, people lost their shit after that, lol It was also on the news the next day, and that drove tickets sales sky high. Well, I hope you enjoy that story and maybe you were there that day.

I remember way back when this first came out over at Disneyland. We lived less than 20 minutes south from Anaheim, so we all got up really early to get over to Disneyland very early. We were a few of the first people there in line to get into the park. Once we got inside the park, we all immediately ran like bats outta hell over to the Captain EO Experience. We were among the first 60 people there, waiting for the first showing of this that day. More people showed up; we all were so excited, happy, & hyped to see this!! Once we all walked in, took our 3D glasses, found our seats, & put them on, we didn’t know what to expect; but we went along with it all. Once the crowd sat down, the video started, & we all got excited and watched this awesome movie from start to finish with such excitement. It actually felt as if we, the whole audience, were journeying along with Captain EO & his crew, experiencing everything they did😁😁😁!! I couldn’t stop grinning and smiling because EVERYTHING was so freaking COOL!! We all were singing along with the music. It felt sad at the end to leave the theater…so, during the day, we must’ve ran back to it, & watched it at least 5-6 more times😝😝😁😁!! Such great memories!! I’m still hoping to see if there are any other Captain EO stories that Disney can bring us. I know it’s not going to be the same without Michael Jackson. I know no one can fill his shoes. But, I’m still hoping…

It was my favorite show too at Disneyland...went in several times a day when we were there in 89 .

It's been a while, but if I recall correctly the -massive- arcade was right across the street from the Captain EO theater. It was such a happenin' corner of Disneyland back in the 80's! The food court (with bands) was right around the corner, and of course Space Mountain, too.

The roadblock is they would have to pay everybody involved.

I watched this the last time I went to Disneyland in 2019… it will forever hold a very special place in my heart. Miss you MJ ❤️

What the movies and video games taught everyone is that if you are MJ enemy he's going to make you dance.

This was the place for my elderly grandparents to take a little rest after walking us around Disneyland all day. May they RIP

Being in my 30s I can see the need to get some AC and sit down after taking kids around disneyland all day lol.

Youngster cannot even comprehend the sock of experiencing for first time a 4D movie with polarized goggles and practical effects within the theater. I watched it during the opening year of Eurodisney. There is no substance in the plot technically and artistically the movie is awesome.

I have to applaud the practical effects for the time, it was awesome in 3D back in 1991. Love and will always miss MJ.

Can't believe this existed without me knowing about it. As a huge StarWars and Michael Jackson fan I would have loved it back then. This is better than everything Disney SW produces today 😮

This is peak Michael Jackson. I always loved the sound effects with dance moves! Was not alive in the 80s but saw this at Disney after he died.
