Loved this album. My teen years - Michael ruled for dances, even with disco dying out. Rock ruled the airwaves. (MTV didn't exist yet). Madonna was squeaky clean, and Prince was getting ready to rise. He got no radio play with Dirty Mind or Darling Nikki, then a little with Controversy. Then Boom.

Old school is right. Off the wall came out in 1979, so it's been a while :) Great album, even though it's before he got more inventive. But it is him on his way to getting into his own, finding what was unique about HIM. Don't stop 'til you get enough, She's out of my life and Rock with you are also classics from this album. Great reaction :)

The best MJ's album ever with Quincy Jones, and all his musicians were just the best of this period. THE BANGER! I was 15 when this album came, I remembered my first time heard it.

Michael Jackson, Rod Temperton and Quincy Jones worked as a trinity. Probably my favorite feelgood MJ song.
