I really thought that was a Michael Jackson song until I started listening to the lyrics, and then I thought "this has to be a parody or spoof of one of his songs" but even then, it doesn't seem to be the case. It's just a completely original joke song that sounds exactly like Michael's work and that alone is impressive enough. The whole process of meticulously sculpting everything and putting it all together is so amazing, I can't even wrap my head around how long that must all take to do, on top of the additional editing and filming for everything else surrounding making the video. I'm blown away by all of it, keep up the great work.

@@BeetleSystems If I may, I disagree with your disagreement. "Shitpost" in no way excludes something from high art. The Divine Comedy was written partially as a fuck-you to Dante's political rivals and professional enemies. Several figures in the paintings on the Sistine Chapel were people that Michaelangelo disliked and thus put them into Hell. Georges Perec wrote a whole novel without the letter E just as a flex, and Joyce wrote Ulysses both to show off his education and to flummox readers and critics. One may both shitpost and achieve high art.

I was there in the front row at age 14. Everything tracks, including the confusion as to what was happening and the screaming when the realization set in. The execrable reek of burnt hair was overpowering. People ran out onto the stage and smacked at his head and tackled him to the ground. That is the kernel of my memory for the event.

Don't know what is better: The dudes talent for sculpting or his dry humor. Such an incredible mixture. Laughing tears every time while absolutely astounded by the whole sculpting process.

After watching this yesterday, I woke up in the middle of night balling my eyes out because I dreamt someone shot Michael Jackson ☹️☹️ Just wanted to share, thank God it was only a dream and the King of pop is still with us 🥲

Stunning. Come for the diorama, stay for the fever dream.

Bobby Fingers just might be a surrealist renaissance man. The sculpting and diorama building are impressive in themselves, but this man went back 3500 years to make a detailed oil lamp... ...of Michael Jackson's hair catching on fire. Also, for the song being a shitpost parody, he's got a good voice for it! All of this mixed with some LSD inspired visuals, it's almost too much to take in. Well done sir. Also, cheers for pulling off some decent MJ choreography.

Watching this video is like looking at a photograph of your dad crying. In a good way. Thanks for this Bobby - I’ve been a fan of your stuff since the Ambrose Houlihan days. Just keeps getting better and better x

The levels of creative genius displayed within this masterpiece are almost beyond comprehension. I have never in my life considered supporting anybody on Patreon, but if that's what it will take to keep these videos coming then consider it done

Look up Bobby Fingers' partner in crime Blindboy's podcast. You'll have solid months of very similar (frequently hysterical) storytelling.

Bobby Fingers videos are like a fine vintage wine: they take time to make, they are not something you consume every day, week or month and the exquisite quality, the bouquet, the rich palette and the divine after taste are so incredibly worth it.

Righto, I'm up to the bit where your dancing and singing. I can see now why you don't post often. Your videos have gone up and up in quality and entertainment so damned fast in so few videos, that it must be hard to top the last you made. My man. This is unreal. Thank you for making my day.

The level of entertainment this video gives is under apreciated. The subtle jokes, the cinematography, story telling, the replacated costume the genius idea to make him a lamp. And your amazing sculpting. I can not belive you only have 44k subcribers. I would rather have the brass version than the diorama. but that diorama was amazing.

Easily the best video I have seen on YT so far in 2023. Amazing skill and dedication to the craft while taking the audience on a spiritual and emotional roller coaster ride to get at the essence of the moment Michael Jackson's hair caught fire on the 27th of January in 1984. This video transcends the medium. It belongs in a museum!

KZbin should create a 1 million thumbs up button for videos like this. A single thumbs up per view is criminally inadequate for the greatness contained within. Hands down one of the best videos I have ever seen.
