The video had some big names in it. The sentry was NBA hall of famer Magic Johnson, the Queen was Iman, a supermodel who was married to David Bowie (divorced in 2016), and the pharaoh was Eddie Murphy.

MJ songs aren’t repetitive I feel things can only be repetitive if there’s no substance or true emotion and rhythm MJ had everything wrapped into one musically like you said he was the total package!👑💯

@@michaelvielhaber9342 MJ is a unique artist tho cuz yes he is known as The King Of Pop but that doesn’t make his music repetitive it’s catchy but MJ was much more than just Pop music he’s done the most genres out of any artist he was incredibly versatile!

@@Milkers777 It is repetitive though. It's verse chorus verse chorus. He may do a different style in another song, but that song also will repeat its verses and choruses. He didn't venture much outside of that song format. But he was amazing within that format.
@robertj.batista
@robertj.batista 10 ай бұрын
@@michaelvielhaber9342 By repetitive you mean only the format or structure. But MJ in each song had a different tone, sound, style and genre. Even his final adlibs on each song are really good and different too. He dabbled in many genres and had the ability to adapt to them. But although the structure is repeated, the content or lyrics and music is different in each song. His choruses and harmonies are the best because he made them himself. That's why you never get bored with his songs, even though the structure is sometimes repeated.

“Remember The Time” ~ The meaning of the song is basically a breakup song. With MJ asking an ex-lover (over and over) for her to remember the special times they had together. When the single was released MJ dedicated the song with love to Diana Ross. In Michael’s 1988 Autobiography titled “Moonwalk”, he stated that he had his longtime love interest and mentor, Diana Ross, in mind when he wrote the song. The accompanying Music Video for "Remember The Time" was filmed in January 1992 at the Universal Studios Hollywood backlot. Prior to the release of the video, Jackson's record label promoted it by releasing clips, as well as releasing behind the scenes clips of making the video. It premiered on ABC, NBC and Fox and BET on February 2, 1992. After the video premiered on MTV, the channel aired a special called "More Dangerous Than Ever" which included glimpses of the making of the video. Directed by John Singleton and choreographed by Fatima Robinson, the video was an elaborate production and became one of Jackson's longest videos at over nine minutes. It was set in ancient Egypt and featured groundbreaking visual effects and appearances by Eddie Murphy, Iman, The Pharcyde, Magic Johnson, Tom "Tiny" Lister Jr. and Wylie Draper, who portrayed Jackson as an adult in the made-for-TV movie The Jacksons: An American Dream and died shortly after appearing in this video. Jackson appears in the video as a hooded wizard who enters an Egyptian palace and attempts to entertain the Pharaoh's bored Queen. Two other entertainers have failed, and she has sent them to be executed. The Queen sees that this wizard is different - instead of juggling or eating fire, he walks up the steps to her throne and sings to her, asking her if she "remembers the time" they were together. The Pharaoh (played by Murphy) hardly appreciates this move and summons his guards. Jackson runs away to another room and begins elaborate, Egyptian-style choreography with the Pharaoh's servants. When the guards find him, Jackson turns into golden sand. In the video, Jackson was dressed in a costume made of gold satin. He wore golden chain mail, a white skirt with a phallic dangling sash, black pants and black boots. This video features a physically complicated dance routine that became the centerpiece of other videos from the Dangerous album. The Music Video was generally well received by music critics with most calling it a "Gorgeous Ancient Egyptian Extravaganza".😇🙌🏽👑💛💫(This Short Film/Music Video premiered on my BDay February 2nd and this Short Film is such a masterpiece from the choreography,the song itself,the outfit’s,MJ’s vocals his solo dancing,the plot etc. just truly stellar Long Live The King Of Music Michael Jackson My Idol Forever! May I add that this was a very monumental Short Film/Music Video for the Black Community to be represented as true Royalty in every sense of the matter MJ honored his heritage that the media and folks tried to claim he wanted to desperately deny which couldn’t be further from the truth.)

Hi Bisscute. According to your question of why everyone loves Michael Jackson, I'm going to answer it for you. He was the biggest and most famous entertainer of the 70's, 80's, 90's and early 2000's. He has changed the world of music along with his incredible dancing skills. He has also helped thousands of children around the globe and currently holds the record for most charities supported by a pop-star with over 39 charities.

Michael Jackon was an excellent artist and his cinematic type videos were one of a kind. For future reactions to his music, I hope you can consider the video for the song Bad and the video for the duet he did with Paul McCartney in the song: Say Say Say.

some notes on the video. The bored queen was Iman Damit - former model who was married to David Bowie (another famous singer). The big guy who introduced the entertainers was Magic Johnson and the Pharaoh was Eddie Murphy. Mike and Eddie went on to record another song together called Whatzupwitu - the video (from what i remember) had them both floating around in the clouds with random animations of musical notes appearing.

I was a kid during the Michael Jackson era, and was a huge fan at the time! I don't know if it's possible to find "Captain EO", or if it would be any good if you did, but it was a thing at Disneyland for many years when I was young, that was a Star Wars inspired 3D short film/music video starring Michael Jackson, that I think was even written by George Lucas, and maybe Stephen Spielberg. ( I looked it up, and no Spielberg, but it was actually directed by one of my other heroes, Francis Ford Coppola and was shot by Vittorio Storaro, who is a legendary cinematographer) And it was real 3D! Like you'd get afraid because you thought you were about to be hit in the face with things flying at you, or the audiences would be holding their hands out in the air in front of their faces because they were trying to pet the cute little furry flying guy. I've never really seen 3D done as well in my life, and the sound set up in the the theater was incredible too, so that you felt it vibrate through your body. It was a whole thing, and I think you just had to be lucky enough to have been there for it. I must've seen it, I don't know, maybe at least 20 times while I was growing up.
