When I saw her live in 2010 ( her last concert tour) she sang " Smile " with a slide show of Michael in the background. Less than 2 years later she would be gone as well.

It's also difficult to imagine there will be no more Donna Summer here on this earth plane making music and walking around but I bet they both are up in heaven.

she was outrageously talented, and with moroder the only person involved with dance music who belongs in the rock and roll hall of fame. michaels music was just like anyone else. Donna was truly unique.

It's a shame that nobody's commented on this connection for 3 months between 2 leagends who were gone too soon. Thanks for the music to both artists. You made our lives happier.

The first song is a live version of State of Independence from Donna's 1983 HBO show, A Hot Summer Night With Donna. The choir included her daughter Mimi, several of her nieces, nephews, and the group Musical Youth. The last song is Donna singing a live version of the song Pearls, that was first recorded by Sade.

Nice pics of Donna & Michael circa 1979/80. She was right about having more grounded people around him. Farrah Fawcett left the same day as Michael.

it was, "State of independence" a song produced by Quincy Jones for the album self titled "Donna Summer" (just before he produced Triller)

this interview was harsh on sweet Mrs. Summer and I dislike this man for making her uncomfortable.
