You can actually hear the point where he goes from actually live singing to recorded playback. In the live videos, you can hear when he starts to get out of breath from all the dancing.

He wasn't singing in this performance atleast. You can see that he tried to sing the last line of the song and the sound was way different than the whole song. Dancing like that can make anyone out of breath, so you can't give a performance like that. Although earlier in his teens he used to sing live, but then his dance moves were limited. Ps:- There may be some exception performances, and please see what I am talking about rather than hating

I, have seen this performance in the cloroner's stadium , California , Los Angeles in 1997, when I was 15 . About those experience , that the stadium was full of crowd and not like this sound it's so louder and about my total experience I have to tell it's amazing show as performance ; I have also enjoyed the dangerous song performed by Michael Jackson ; as I was living there in Los Angeles .
