This has been mixed. They are 2 separate recordings. Stevie was in a radio studio live during the Christmas season. Michael’s recording is the first demo recording session. Stevie originally wrote the song for his Album “Songs in the key of life”. Great tune!! Interesting mix of the two demos

This is my favourite track from the Off The Wall album. Written by Stevie Wonder and Susaye Green of the Supremes. It was originally wrote to be on Songs in The Key Life but like many other songs it didn't make the final cut. Instead it was submitted to Quincy Jones for the Off The Wall album and they worked pure magic with it 👌🏾👏🏾

This is actually a Demo version it was not completed yet. All lyrics were not done. Stevie wrote it for Michael that's why you hear the ad libs toward the 2nd verse portion. He was just getting a feel for the tempo. This was not released ever as a duet. A lot of the voice inflections that Michael did on songs came from Stevie. He has known Michael since he was a kid at Motown since Stevie was also a child prodigy. The Jackson 5 sang background on many Stevie tunes. Michael was Stevie's favorite artist even if he would not say it publicly.

I am so glad that Stevie wrote this song and let Michael Sing it. Because it is oney all time favorites of Michael Jackson in his adult life as a solo artist. Michael Jackson was the G.O.A.T. no one will ever surpass him. Michael, as a Child with his Brothers had the great 7 Octive range. One of my other artist from a different genre. Lane Stanley also had a 7 Octive range. R.I. P. Both of you. I listened last night to Jackson 5 :s Maybe tomorrow . Listen to that song to some inkling of Michael's powerful range. If want to hear why at the time The Jackson 5 was so amazing. Harmony ... The Song is called Looking Through the Window . Not that is Beautiful Michael's lead and the Harmony it has stood the test of time as has every Record featuring Michael Jackson. Even a single he did with Mick jagger , State of Shock. You did well by combing the two recordings. From the first play of "Off The Wall", this is one of my favorite songs of all time. I know every word from every Wonder album from "Where I'm Coming From" up to and including the soundtrack to "Jungle Fever", a movie everyone should revisit. Everyone's great and watch Halle Berry and Sam Jackson for their best-ever performances, Anabella Sciorra and Frank Vincent being incredibly and scary authentic and Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee being brilliant Stevie Wonder shocked our high school by performing at our 1973 Black History Month event using our high school's band as backup. The screaming started the moment he stepped on stage and got louder with every song, which I know sounds impossible. I saw Wonder perform on December 8, 1980. Those of us in the Oakland Arena learned from Wonder that Lennon had been shot earlier that day. There was no internet. Wonder's announcement is on KZbin recorded from backstage. I always felt a connection to both Wonder and MJ, who was born the same year as me, Madonna and Prince. I always tried to do things well and treat people well, was one of my school's biggest sports stars and did well in Silicon Valley, Hollywood (went to the Oscars with the winning team) and Wall Street. Prince, MJ and Madonna set the bar high for the rest of us 1958'ers. Look at what this wonderful post prompted me to think about. It's rarely just about the song, they also represent things. The importance of music can never be overstated.

The best part of Wonder's performance at my school was, in the middle of "Superstition", Wonder's guide came out to walk him from the piano to the drums while the band continued. Our drummer, John John, was the best musician of the group. Wonder sat at the drums, quickly tapped every drum and cymbal to feel where everything was, then proceeded to shake the auditorium with a power that was surprising and impressive, as though John John had not been drumming at all prior. A lot of singers or people that play other instruments also play drums (Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass, Johnny Carson, Chaka Khan) but they tend to be controlled and methodical. Wonder was borderline reckless he was so kinetic and in command. His entire body moved rhythmically when he drummed, not just his levers. I've seen a ton of drummers but I've never seen anyone else drum like Wonder did that day. I focus on drummers because they are so visual. Stevie Wonder is physically bigger than you think. He was imposing. Maybe he just seemed bigger because he's Stevie Wonder. It's been 51 years.

Specifically the part where he sings about "hearing the best christmas music" he goes on to shout out the station after that line but it's edited out of this version. you can find it all over youtube.

.......Sorry to spoil the fun, but these are two completely different tracks that were already completely done, mixed together. One is M.J. Original studio track, the other is Stevie singing the song in "A" in the Studio, that is why something sounds a little bit off if you have rhe ear for it....both of the tracks are here on KZbin, just search, you will find.....not a bad remix that was done though, should have taken out the Christmas part though, since the person went through all of that!
